Despite the rain, our group had a wonderful time on the Historic Alexandria food/walking tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and personable. She told us interesting stories about the houses, restaurants, and museums - history came alive! The food was delicious, and it was ready to be served to us as soon as we were seated in the restaurant - I think the other patrons of the restaurant wondered who we were that we received service so fast! Some of the dishes were not ones that I would ordinarily order, but I am glad that I tried them all. I would definitely go back to all the places for a complete meal on my own. I think this tour is a fantastic idea, and now I want to take the Capitol Hill food/walking tour. |

This was a great tour of Old Town & of the restaurants there. The timing between walking and eating was well thought out as well as the food portions. Just when you wanted to sit down, you were at the next restaurant to enjoy a sample of food that was delicious. As a local, I was amazed at the amount of information I learned about the founding of the city and architectual details of Old Town. I highly recommend this tour. |

Our group loved Dena, our guide. Even though it was raining and cold we had the most marvelous time. The amount of food we were served at the establishments was unbelievable! As many times as I have been to Alexandria I never knew all of the information Dena discussed with us. I highly recommend this tour to all interested people. Our group now wants to do the Capital Hill tour. |

This was a great event. It rained all day but it was still worth every minute we spent.
Hope to go on the DC tour sometime in the future. |

Molly, our tour guide was funny and entertaining. Her knowledge about the architecture and history of Old Town was great. Being from the area, I assumed that we would know most of the tour info; boy was I surprised. The food was yummy and just enough to tie us over until a small late night dinner. |

What a way to spend the afternoon! Touring Old Town Alexandria and learning so much of the history and trivia was amazing. Then add to that stopping at delicious restaurants to have an eclectic variety of food, definitely has something for everyone. Our tour guide, Molly, was very informative as well as entertaining. (Thanks, Molly!) Make sure you come hungry or you won't have room to taste all the "mini-meals" which aren't so mini.
This is a great activity for locals, or people visiting the DC area who want to do something out of the ordinary, not your basic tourist sites. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes as there is quite a bit of walking. We can't wait to try the Capitol Hill and Eastern Market tours next time we're in DC. Definitely recommend this... |

My husband and I really enjoyed the tour! Natalie was our guide and she was great. She knew her stuff and little bit more. She went above and beyond. Next time we are in town we will definately check out some other tours!!
Thanks

This by far one of the best tours we have been on in the D.C. area and we have tried nearly all of them. The tour guides were very knowledgeable, hospitable, friendly and kind. They really knew their subject, the area and offered additional "off the tour" advice. Like where to shop or grab a quick beer after the tour. The restaurants were fantastic. No two alike. Great choices and variety of foods. The quality was excellent and the quantity was way over the top! We expected to get "bites" and instead got whole meals at each restaurant with a final stop for dessert. The food tour is a great idea, fun for adults and young adults. Maybe not so great with young children who are not adventurous with food or into long walks with long talks. Our older children (thirty-ish) loved it! |

The Old Town Alexandria Food Tour is great! The tour provides the perfect mix of eating, walking, and listening to the tour guide (Dena is the best!) discuss the history of Old Town. I went to new places I'd never been before and learned things I never knew before. And, last but not least, the jelly cake is amazing! |
