Alexandria has had a colorful history. The tour was informative, taking us through Old Town in the company of a well informed guide. The four food/rest stops were well planned and offered us the opportunity to sample from unusual eateries. There were some young people(pre-teen) on the tour who were obviously not impressed with the culinary offerings. If one has a narrow attitude toward different cuisines, another tour might be advisable. But, if you are willing to try new offerings, then the food stops just add to the enjoyment. The tour was recommended to us by our grown daughter and we will recommend it. The walking was not strenuous and the pace was reasonable. |

This was a great investment of time and money during our stay in Baltimore! We toured places we would probably not have visited otherwise, and were quite impressed with our guide, Michael's, historical knowledge of the area. Part of what made this tour superior to one we took in another city, is that this one gave us brief amounts of time to sit and actually enjoy the specialties, order adult beverages if we desired them, and chat with others on the tour. Having spent much of our time in the area visiting historical venues, we were pleased to have many of our questions answered through this tour. We would encourage adults with inquiring minds, and of the 'foodie' frame of interest to check this out! |

We were disappointed with our guide's incorrect and slang-filled explanations of historic events.
He referred to the Revolutionary War as " quick and dirty". He said that the bombardment of Fort McHenry took place after the peace treaty ending the war had been signed. He seemed to be more interested in glibness than accuracy. We looked forward to the tour because our guide last year was so articulate and informative. |

We had a great time. Plenty of food, very well paced, loved getting the local history. I wanted to go back to each stop and wished I had done the tour earlier in our trip so we would be able to return! Thank you Zak for a great day! |

My sister and I have taken four other food tours, from this company, in NYC. This tour was the best in comfort for participants: plenty of room to sit and enjoy food, wide and excellent choices of food, great presentation of food!! Our guide, Christopher, was knowledgeable of the area and very personable. Our group was diverse and fun!! I would always encourage others to enjoy these tours! |

My husband and I booked this trip for my friends who came in from Atlanta. Although it was scorching hot (almost 90 degrees), the guide kept us in the shade (as much as possible) and the food stops were well air conditioned. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, and all of the restaurants were great. I do not agree with the complaints that the final stop (desert) took away from the experience because the group could not all sit together. It's a small, hip place that had seating (just not enough for a group of 12 to sit together). We loved their treats and the ambiance of the place. Although my husband and I liked the Alexandria tour better, I would still highly recommend this tour for both locals and out of town guests. |

The entire food tour exceeded my expectations. Being a food snob, I was a little cynical about the caliber or food that a big group hopping around to different restaurants. However, the restaurants where we stopped for food were all fantastic and out group was small which made for a very pleasant experience. I was also surprised that the tour was about much more than just food, lots of great historical info on Old Town Alexandria and our tour guide Deena was awesome, very friendly and knowledgable. Highly recommended. |

I highly recommend this tour as a food adventure of the locale, for the socializing it provides and the history of the area toured. However, most of all I would ask for Rachel, who was our guide. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and open, and keeps the pace of the tour at one all ages can enjoy. |

We were at the right place at the right time for the tour, no tour guide....
And we had no cell phone, but one of the others also there waiting made a few calls. apparently the guide had had a personal emergency and we were offered our money back or the tour starting late. Two people opted for their money back and four of us choose to wait. It was worth the wait. The guide was charming, the tour was fun and the food great. A small group, doing a walking tour, on a beautiful afternoon with great food. What is not to like? |

The combination of history, good food, new restaurant finds, delightful conversations with others on the tour and a very comptent guide makes the Fells Point Food Tour a winner. |

My husband and I had a great time on this tour with Nick as our terrific guide. Learned a little about Baltimore and Fells point history and present day. Variety of food from elegant Tapas to Stuggy's Baltimore Dog to crab soup made it fun and worthwhile. |

Georgetown Food Tour Disappointment!

My husband and I took the DC Georgetown food tour two weekends ago. We have taken numerous food tours across the country. We had read the reviews and our daughter and her husband had taken this tour last year. They highly recommended the tour.
Our tour guide was Lauren. She was very nice but it seemed she had not been doing the tour very long. There were 12 people in our group but four of them were late. One couple caught up with us at the first restaruant. We waited for the other couple at the meeting place for about 15-20 minutes. Lauren assured us we would not miss anything waiting for them but I'm not sure if that was true. I went back and read the reviews and then talked with our daughter. Both mentioned wine and cheese, beer and wine, oysters etc... None of these were available to us. I feel like we may have skipped a restaurant because we waited around too long for the late people. The walk between the first and second restaurant was at least 15 minutes. There was no stopping to point out anything and no conversation by Lauren. Again, I wonder if there usually is but she was in a hurry to make up time.
My husband and I were the only ones in the group who had been on a food tour before. I feel bad that the other 10 people think this is what a food tour is like. IT WAS NOT WORTH $68.00! I would love to hear from the owner(s) to discuss my concerns. |
