A nice mix of food and history

Our tour guide Pamela gave a very informative and enjoyable historical tour around the neighborhood, including several landmarks I otherwise wouldn't have identified. The restaurant stops were really delicious, and highlighted a diverse set of cuisines. As a food journalist, Pam was very knowledgeable about the historical context of the dishes we were served, as well as being very comfortable with striking up a conversation with each member of our party. I highly recommend this experience to a bachelor/bachelorette party such as ours. Thank you!

Our group was my brother and his fiancee and thier wedding party (groomsmen and bridesmaids). We were all very skeptical and was unsure even how the day would work. We instantly fell in love with Pam and knew we would have a good time. There was a mixed group of foodies like myself (hospitality and culinary degree) and people who consider McDonalds a great meal. Everyone enjoyed it. The group all agreed at the end that the tour would have been a decent afternoon with a poor to average tour guide, but Pam really made it special. If I could offer any advice it would be to ensure that all the tour guides are as enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and as connected in the food world as Pam is or you will be settling with an overpriced walk around lunch. Our group love it and we thank you. Ben

We had a great food tour and experienced food that we ordinarily would not try and loved it! We had a great tour guide who was enthusiastic about the area and food.

We had a group of family and friends for a bachelor/bachelorette celebration and had an INCREDIBLE time. I cannot wait to go on a tour of another DC neighborhood. Our guide, Pam, was knowledgeable about history, food, and how to keep a group entertained. We had a variety of food and all of it was VERY good. We learned a lot from Pam about the area, historically and it's current vibe. We also learned a lot about the food we ate. Truly a fantastic time!!!

Lots of problems with this tour.

My grown son and I thought this would be an interesting tour, but we were wrong. First, when we were stuck in traffic we called tour office for assistance were treated very rudely. Then the restaurants looked okay, but the food was very disappointing. In one place food was cold, another undercooked. Food was not representative of the area - except for the jelly cake which was stale. We didn't even have a choice of tea at the tea store. We were also disappointed with the walking part of tour - very little walking with few sights pointed out. This was not good value or customer service for amount of money that is charged. The best part was the tour guide, Kate, who was a pleasant person, but could not make up for all of the other problems.

I should begin by thanking our guide Ada. You made each guest feel as you were speaking directly to them. The narration, was fun and friendly. And every question about Alexandria was met with an answer that was sure to entertain and inform. The restaurant choices were well received. We would never have found these wonderful places on our own. The foods that were served were all treats to the palette, and by the end of the day we knew Alexandria Virginia and its flavors as a local might.   We would absolutely recommend this food-history tour. Anyone who visits Washington DC area, and locals looking for a nice day out. This is the one. And make sure you ask for Ada, A+ day. Thank you Ada Mike & Vicki

This was a lot of fun for me and my boyfriend, but I would just as likely go with some friends or my parents. The food was delicious and our tour guide was knowledgeable and fun. It was surprise for my boyfriend who 1) loves trying new food and 2) wanted to see more of DC because he recently started working there. He loved it! I like that it is not only a food tour but that you get to learn interesting details about the city as well. The only place we didn't love was the second place we went to (with flatbreads) simply because the cuisine seemed uninspired and I didn't appreciate having to view constant images of models on a TV screne while I ate (it just felt cold). I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in trying and learning something new.

Delectable DC Tour

Thoroughly enjoyed the DC Dupont Circle Food Tour. An amazing amount of food. From a divine cocktail and crabcake, delicious Moroccan (wow), surprising Malaysian and flavourful Japaneses- including a creamy mango ice cream it was all satisfying. Roxanne was a great guide regalling us with stories of Dupont Circle. She really paced things well giving us lots of time to eat before heading off again. Would loved to have heard more stories and seen more of Embassy Row but there wasn't enough time. Our 21 year old son came with us and he loved it! Highly recommend this tour!
