This was a wonderful way to see a part of Washington that we have never traveled. Not only did we learn a lot about the area but we experienced delicious food from the various cultures in the neighborhood. Make sure you do not eat before the journey as the portions at each restaurant was ample and you want to save room for the dessert! Having a small group of people allowed the guide to answer all questions. She really gave a good explanation of the culture and food when we stopped at the restaurants. We met many nice people from all parts of the country. This was definately a tour to take and enjoy. |

Our guide was knowledgeable, personable, ehthusiastic and knew how to pace the tour. The breaks seemed to come at just the right time. The people in the restaurants seemed genuinely happy to have us and gave interesting information about their food and restuarant.
I will recommend this tour to my friends and will also take out of town relatives and friends on the tour. |

The food was very delicious and there was lots of it. There was 11 in our group and everyone was full and satisfied at the end. Our tour guide (Ada) was very knowledgable about the history of Georgetown and did a great job. |

The Alexandria food tour was amazing, thanks to our excellent guide, Dena. She was very knowledgeable and upbeat and answered all questions with ease. She seemed to genuinely enjoy her job and like the group, which gave the tour a really positive energy. Although my friend and I are pretty young, our tour also included people of retirement age, and I noticed that Dena did a great job of keeping the group at a reasonable walking pace for all members without drawing attention to it or embarrassing anyone.
The food was delicious, although I had specified when ordering the tickets that one member of my party is vegetarian, and that was not accommodated. It wasn't a big deal because my friend does eat fish, but not all vegetarians do, and that's something you should be aware of in the future.
Additionally, I read about the tour in the weekend section of the Post, and I was under the impression the tour would be mostly about food, as opposed to about 50/50 food and history. It was a pleasant surprise that the historical component was there, and you might want to make sure future advertising reflects that.
All in all, we would do a food tour again, and hope to luck out with a guide as good as Dena. |

Sarah did an amazing job. I would guess that the groups get a little comfortable when they start drinking and harder to get going. Sarah is very good at not rushing people but keeping everybody on the move. Very insightful and down to earth.
As per the stops, most were good but a couple of the spots were slow to provide the food or just plain unorganized, no matter how many times Sarah phoned them in advance or had to remind the hostesss to keep it moving.
All in all , had a great time and would do it again.
Do you offer the samething in San Fransico? |

This was my first visit to DC and the Food Tour was the first event I had planned. It was a GREAT introduction to the city! Lots of history, folklore, and great food! Sharon was an awesome tour guide and we learned a lot AND had a great time! I wish I had been in town longer to do the other tours available! |

We throughly enjoyed this tour and Christian our guide. We saw some historical sites we would have never seen. The restarants we great and very accomidating. The variety of food was wonderful. I would suggest that maybe you have two prices so that a alcholic drink could be purchased or at least offered. I knew we would do some walking but didn't realize it was an all walking tour. One person in our party struggled with that. Christian was great though and would always wait till she caught up before telling us things!! I would highly recommend this tour and if we come back we are going to do another location!!!You get 5 stars from me!!!!! |

Ted was a wonderful guide=informative, fun and charming. He was attentive to everyone, kept a good walking pace, and was very considerate.
The restaurant stops were EXCELLENT.
We wasted time with the thimble of wine and peanuts at the store and I felt the Jelly Cake was not the best last impression for the tour.As it is no longer available we were told ( the reason may be that people do not like it) this store made it only for the tour. Forget it and choose something else.
The historical information Ted gave us was GREAT. |

Fabulous day in Fells Point with Tour Guide Zack. As locals, we learned so much about our city and LOVED meeting couples from PA, DC and NJ.
And, even though we had been to all of the places on the tour, everything we ate was a new flavor for us. Cannot wait to revisit all the food places on the tour including Stuggys, Koopers, Wharf Rat, Meli and Black Olive!
Next month, the group is taking the Federal Hill tour. As long as Charm City keeps forming new tours, we will be taking them. |

This was my first experience with a food tour, so now the bar is set very high for the next one. Our guide, Sarah was knowledgeable and entertaining. The places we visited treated us with graciousness and hospitality. I would definitely recommend this tour to locals and tourists alike. |

It was fun and the food was very good. Our guide was very accommodating and interested in us having a good experience. We learned a lot about Georgetown area , especially the homes of the Kennedys and tales relating to them, seeing other Georgetown homes, and we went back later to explore the area on our own.
There was quite a lot of walking, so come with good shoes and willingness to explore by foot between restaurants. The selection of restaurants was interesting and varied....we visited several the next day too. |

I really enjoyed the entire experience. It was more than just eating, I loved the tour of Fells Point. Our guide was fantastic, very informative. He made the day a lot of fun. The only part that disappointed me was going to one place just for a beer. I am not a beer drinker so I got a soda. I feel like for the cost we should have gotten a little bit more at that location. Otherwise all the other stops were very good.
I would recommend this to others and look forward to doing a tour of another part of Baltimore. |
