DC Metro Food Tours

We went with our adult son who lives in Alexandria. He learned things about the area that he wasn't even aware of! It was very interesting, as well as yummy. Our guide was very enthusiastic with all kinds of interesting tidbits of information about the architecture and way of life. I am 53 years old, and I didn't feel overwhelmed by the amount of walking. I was even inspired to return to some of the sights after the tour with other family memebers later in the day. The food was very good. In fact, we did not have dinner that night. We will definately consider the other tours offered at Capitol Hill and Georgetown next time we visit.

Sharon, our tour guide was excellent. She's a member of the historical society in the area and she imparted a lot of wisdom on the buildings and the history of Washington D.C. My husband and I are not into history at all, but Sharon made it so interesting, enjoyable and palatable that we were intrigued. The food on the tour was amazing! We didn't think we would enjoy the Indian food, but that was excellent! Who knew that a squeeze of lemon in potato soup would make it even more amazing. I know, it sounds weird, but it really is amazing. I can't say enough good things about the tour and our guide. Everything we ate and learned about the area was enjoyable. You'll learn about the differences in the brick buildings and why, which President threw wild parties at the White House, who Pierre L'enfant is and his significance, where the first Safeway was and why it was called Safeway, how George Washington raised funds to build Washington and so much more....Book your tour now. You won't be sorry. Be sure to confirm that Sharon is your guide. We took the 3:00 p.m. tour on a Sunday with her and it was probably the highlight of our two week vacation of D.C. and New York.

I took the Fell's Point Food Tour. Most of the food was really good. I'd skip the hot dog if I did it again. The event was a good way to spend an afternoon.

My parents were visiting from Florida, so my sister, boyfriend and I took them on the Fells Point tour. My boyfriend and I live in the neighborhood, but we were taken to a few restaurants that even we had never eaten at (as well as some current favorites). The tour guide was excellent and we learned a lot of interesting details about the area. My parents thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and my sister, boyfriend and I can't wait to revisit the places we discovered! I would highly recommend this tour to out of towners and locals alike. We can't wait to try the Little Italy tour!

Knowledgable guiden fun group

We had a great time on our walking tour. Our guide was hugely knowledgeable, the food was terrific(especially Hungry Andy's), and the history was amazing. Don't miss this well paced adventure!

Me and my boyfriend enjoyed this foodtour very much. The group is relative small, about 11 people. And we liked that. We heard that normally it is a larger group. So hopefully DC Metro Food Tours reads this one. Keep the group around 10 people! But it was a great tour, our tourguide was friendly, enthusiastic and he knew alot from food, but also DC in general. I would recommend this tour. The food is good, the neighborhood is good.

We had a great time taking in the sites and tastes of Georgetown while learning about its rich history. I would enjoy doing another DC Metro Food Tour with the same tour guide! He was fantastic!

This was a great way for a new comer to the DC area (like myself) or a true local (like my date) to explore and learn about the surrounding neighborhoods and find out what they have to offer. In fact, there were others in the group that had either lived in the area for years or had visited the DC area very frequently that learned new things about the city. It is also a unique and fun idea for a date. Our guide, Sharon, was wonderful. She was very personable, knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about the information she was sharing. Sharon even gave us a bit of background on the foods we were eating, which by the way was VERY tasty. After going on this food tour I am excited to try the others offered in the area!

My group thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Dena, our guide, was great! The food was delicious and we were definitely stuffed by the end. The next time I find myself in the D.C. area, I will absolutely sign up for another food tour.
