A great way to experience Baltimore
Sat, Dec 4, 10   3:00 PM ValerieNE Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
I have already recommended this tour to friends. Zach was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing his experience and expertise with us. We enjoyed wandering up and down the cobblestone streets of Fell's Point, going places we would have missed if we had tried exploring on our own. We appreciated the variety of restaurants/bars that we visited and the history that we learned. Zach was patient and answered the many other questions I asked. He also suggested other activities we might enjoy and shared facts that even Baltimore natives might not know. (Just why IS it called "Charm City?") In terms of the actual food that was part of the tour, by the time the tour was done, we knew we would have to visit the restaurants another time because we were full. And everything was delicious. The only suggestion I would have is it might have been nice to have a map of our route that we could have used at a later date to retrace our steps a little more easily. This tour really is a don't-miss experience in Baltimore.

Pretty Good...more tie in would be nice

The walk through the city with the history and historic sites was pretty neat. I also liked the stop at the torpedo factory. I only wish that there had been more of a tie in from the food to the tour... was the food we ate historical at all? Why did we go to this restaurant instead of another? Why are we served this food instead of another? We would definitely go on a tour like this as a tour or go to the restaurants to eat, but they didn't seem to flow together very well. Mallory was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable for her short time in the city.

Our guide was delightful and informed. I think it was important that she was such a part of that community. The blend of history and the culinary aspect was done well. Food was plentiful, varied and very good. Money well spent!

Great tour and wonderful food

Our guide Ted gave us a great overview of the history and architecture of Old Town Alexandria, pointing out many things that we would have missed on our own, and that the city's own published walking tour did not fully explain. The selection of restaurants and menu choices were wonderful, with enough food to satisfy us for both lunch and dinner. Overall, it was a very pleasant and informative afternoon.

Was a little disappointed in the amount of food served, as the description on the website states there would be more than enough. But the tour guide was awesome, very entertaining and knowledgeable!!

Highlight of our trip!

The Little Ethiopia food tour was absolutely amazing and was most definitely the highlight of our 5 day trip. We ended up with five people in our group (I was told the maximum is 12). Our tour leader Lynn was great - passionate, funny, engaging and you could tell she really enjoyed her job. There isn't a lot of walking on the tour, and you visit some truly unique and small family owned restaurants. There is plenty of food to go around (you will NOT be hungry at the end of the tour). You experience breakfast, lunch, appetizers (which includes a traditional coffee ceremony) and dessert. Thumbs Up! A must do!

Something for everyone!

While we are locals of long standing, there were places on the tour we'd never been and discussion throughout was fascinating. Knowing something about town already only heightened the experience for us.

My best friend and I recently celebrated her birthday by going on the Fells Point Food Tour. Neither of us had ever been on a food tour before, so we didn't know what to expect. We had an amazing time!! Our guide was fun, knowledgeable, and very entertaining! There were 8 people in our group and we found it to be an easy going and enjoyable experience. We'd both highly recommend this. Great time, great food, great guide!!

Opportunity to really learn about Baltimore
Thu, Nov 4, 10   3:00 PM bweitz Female 50-59 International Tourist(s) Group of Friends
Loved learning about the history of Fells Point and getting to meet the local people who ran the venues we visited. It was personable. Our tour guide knew an immense amount of history and was passionate about the beautiful architecture and the interesting history that shaped this area. Loved all the food and the variety. Thought there was going to be a few more beverages (ie had read that we tasted Grand Marnier but didn't). Overall, I really enjoyed our tour and would recommend it.

Great food,service & ambiance

We took this tour because my 2 friends recently moved to the area. Instead of taking them out to dinner for being my hosts, I brought them on this tour. It was a beautiful fall day, the guides on the walking tour gave us the right amount of historical detail. We enjoyed the stops to try local restaurants. The menu was well thought out, the restaurants ready for us with prompt informed service (we had 2 food allergies in our tour group). My friends will return to some of the places we tried, and plan on doing more food tours in the DC area. A very enjoyable afternoon was had by all.
