| Jeff was an enthusiastic guide, full of energy. He knew tons of history regarding Alexandria and its architecture. The food choices were delicious, especially our first stop. We would definately go again! | ||||||

| Jeff has a great thing going! The Old Town Alexandria Food and Historical Walking Tour was fabulous! It seems like Jeff has been doing this for 6 years not only 6 months! He is very knowledgeable and knows his food! I would recommend this tour for couples, families without children, and groups of friends. It was definitely 3 hours well spent! | ||||||

| Although I have traveled the world and been part of many tour groups, I have never experienced a tour like this one. It was a wonderful afternoon with a unique combination of history and food. The history of Alexandria came alive through the interesting stories and historical presentations by our tour guide. As we walked through Old Town, we virtually became part of the city and its past. It was obvious that the restaurants were carefully chosen as excellent representations of an Alexandria the usual tourist does not experience. The owners of the restaurants took the time to explain a little about each restaurant's history and the food. The food itself was outstanding, and the portions were generous. I can't wait to go back and try those restaurants again! The timing of the tour was perfect, and the the food couldn't have been better. This tour is clearly one of the best values in the DC area. Our tour guides, Jeff and Sharone, were delightful and made the tour so much fun. Don't miss out on this experience; I would go on the tour again in a hearbeat! | ||||||

| My husband and I like to walk, enjoy history and architecture, and appreciate good food, so this was perfect for us! Our guides were very well informed and interesting while walking, and the whole group was very comfortable. The points of interest we visited whetted our appetites for more-- we would like to go back to explore some of the museums more throughly on our own. The food was absolutely fabulous-- we stopped at an interesting variety of places, and sampled some wonderful menu items. If we were staying more days on this visit, I would have gone back to every one of the restaurants for a full meal. This would be a great experience to have as an introduction to Old Town at the beginning of a vacation, so it could be used as a way to get an overall picture of the area, and what to go back to do, to see, and especially, to eat, on following days. I'm so glad we did this, and thanks to our hosts for the fun memories! | ||||||

| This is a great new tour company with a great idea - mix a tour of Old Town with food tasting at some great restaurant. I strongly recommend it and look forward to addtional tours of DC as they expand their venue. | ||||||

| I would never have believed that you could spend 3 hours touring Old Town without a visit to King Street. DC Food Tours pulled it off, revealing little known (but important)history and off-the-beaten-path (but incredible) restaurants. The tour offered the perfect balance of walking and eating, and facts and fun. The guides did a great job planning and executing the tour. A perfect date! Will be going on the tour again, soon. | ||||||

| My group really enjoyed the tour. I thought the restaurants were well chosen and the food prepared and presented was very nice. In particular, the cake at the final stop showed a huge amount of attention, care and passion for the tour itself. The only thing i would critique was the use of the cards with the historical facts as a cheat sheet. I completely understand that the tour is new, and many random questions were asked, but pulling out pieces of paper with facts or dates about the site the tour leader had chosen to talk about was not the most professional. I'm sure in a few more tours, all of the dates will be memorized and it won' t be a problem. Overall, the tour was very, very enjoyable. The weather was nice, the food was great, and the other participants on the tour were friendly. Also, the wife of the main tour guide was very helpful, thoughtful, and prepared. She did a great job of engaging people and seemed indispensable to the whole operation. | ||||||

| We had a great time on our food tour. My husband and I had not known too much about the area before, and it was so interesting to learn about the culture, history, and architecture in Alexandria. The different restaurants we visited were wonderful, because the staff of the restaurants were friendly, and the food was delicious! We went home wanting to recreate some of the dishes. The balance between walking and eating was just right. Our guides were so knowledgeable about the area, and could answer any questions we had. It was a fun afternoon and a great experience! | ||||||

| I wasn't sure what to expect - I've lived around these parts for over 20 years and thought I was very familiar with Old Town Alexandria. We saw this food tour and thought it'd be fun to try something new. By the end of the tour I was blown away by how much I didn't know about our local history and the food tastings were awesome, incredibly generous. Jeff and Sharone were wonderful hosts - it was a rather warm day but they thoughtfully provided us with cold bottles of water, sought out shade when stopping to provide some narration, and the air-conditioned stops were spaced apart perfectly. The various places we stopped for food did an excellent job in the food preparation in both quality and presentation. We had more than enough food to satisfy us - everyone was talking about not needing lunch OR dinner after this. Another nice touch was the stops at the Torpedo Factory/Alexandria Archeology Museum and the Lyceum. Both places I had been by before but never paid much attention to. They are now on my top ten list of things to do in Washington, DC. We also saw the new, free, Old Town Trolley that runs people from the King Street Metro Station, down King Street, to Union Street and the Old Town Waterfront (where The Chart House Restaurant is) That's also where the new water taxi to National Harbor is located. It's amazing how much we got to see and learn on this tour. I'll be back and I'm bring friends!! Thanks to Jeff, Sharone and their DC Metro Food Tours' "Old Town Alexandria Food Tasting and Historical Walking Tour"! It truly lived up to its name! | ||||||

| I have lived in Alexandria for the past 6-8 months and have never understood why everyone’s so fascinated with "Old Town Alexandria." Well I am here to say that this tour put the "Ole" in "Old town." The tour did not only reveal the deep history of that beautiful city, but it also allowed me to see and enjoy some of the diverse restaurants within the city. Opening not only my eyes but also my taste buds... And I just cant wait for friends and family to come visit, not only do I have somewhere to take them but also let them discover the beauty with the city limits of Old Town Alexandria... Special thanks Jeff and his lovely wife I hope everyone who either come to visit or relocate to this area, take the time to not only learn Alexandria's deep history but, enjoy the richness that small city has to offer...
