| i found the tour to be a little too long for the amount of information/sites there were to see.
i also think it was too pricey, i would value it at $25, 1/2 of what it cost.
seeing the houses of the LaBianca's and the site where Sharon Tate's house was were the highlights, but driving down through the canyon to see the front of the house where a gun was found seemed like a time waster and a filler. seeing it from the road gave you the point enough. too many of these made you want the tour to end.
i would have liked more information, audio, or something on Manson himself.
i did find the driver very informed on Hollywood history.
if your a big Manson fanatic, go for it. if you have mild to moderate interest, find the addresses of the two locations and take yourself. |

| Learn all the gory details about those two horrible nights in August of 1969 and see where the gruesome events took place as ever-knowledgeable Host Scott Michaels leads you through Hollywood, Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Benedict Canyon and beyond. Hear about the last moments of Sharon Tate and her friends as well as Leno & Rosemary LaBianca in graphic detail and you will understand why this was the crime of the century. Never boring, sometimes heartbreaking, always fascinating, this tour will stay with you long after its conclusion. |

| this is an awesome tour! it does not "glamourize" the manson-tate-labianca murders but merely lays out the facts, time table & locations of the events that transpired 40 yrs ago. if you have an aversion to gore, photos from both events are concealed within a binder for each passenger. you are free to look at the photos, keep the binder closed or decline a binder altogether. alot of information is downloaded on the victims, the manson family, the trial, the outcome plus myths disspelled. many LA locations traversed in this lengthy tour. questions & comments are welcome & scott is an excellent, knowledgable guide. a video presentation (no blood or gore from my recollection) & music from the top 20 for that week serves to further the tour during the drive between locations. we have also taken his other tours & this one does not disappoint. plus the "tomb buggy" is comfy & air conditioned! |

| My boyfriend and I really liked Scott, our tour guide. It's easy to recognize his passion for Los Angeles history. He is extremely knowledgeable and always ready to answer questions.
Our only disappointment came at the end of the day when we came out of the parking garage on Hollywood and Highland. This was the *highly* recommended spot to park according to the tour website, and should have cost us only $2 for 4 hours. But once we got to the ticket taker on our way out of the garage, we found out that parking was actually $10 unless we had validation from one of the shops above us.
So, that was our ONLY disappointment - that we had to shell out 5 times what we thought we'd have to for parking when we should have found street parking for free.
Back to the tour: It was so cool. I'm a former resident of Hollywood, and I thought it was eye-opening to see spots with such historical significance that I'd never even passed before. You really do have to be searching for these spots to find them. And Scott has done his research well. He takes you to addresses that have never been publicized, and he makes an honest attempt to respect the privacy of those who reside in the homes visited during the course of the tour.
Bring your digital camera. Pictures from inside the van actually turn out GREAT ! I was really surprised and I regretted taking only 2 pictures when I saw how nice they came out. I thought the tinted windows would make for terrible, dark photos, but they came out looking professional, with perfect lighting.
a big thanks to Scott. I'd like to continue supporting him by buying his dvd about Helter Skelter history when it comes out. |

| I loved it - always have had a fascination with the Manson Murders and have previously gone on Graveline Tours on 3 occasions. I am Australian and as there were other Aussies on the tour I went on - I obviously am not the only one who finds this interesting. This is an event which everyone of any age group recalls and to be able to see the places which I have read about and see the exact location and the remoteness - you can understand how they were able to get away. I recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in this part of history. |
