Scott Michaels tour about the notorious case was fascinating. You really get the feel of LA durring the summer of '69.

Very interesting and organized.

I have read many books and viewed many documentaries on this subject so I didn't know what to expect. We road in a van that had tv monitors for all to see. The guide was very enthusiastic and informative. His organizational skills were good. I found it almost surreal in that I was able to see the places -up close and personal- that I have been studying for so many years. It was obvious he put allot of time into his presentation. Even thought the entire subject is negative, I left with a better understanding of what occurred. I was very pleased with the guide and his knowledge. Thank you, Nicholas Kless

Just like being there when it all happened...

Even if you've read up on the case, there is nothing like being right there LOOKING at where it all happened. Get A first hand experience as you are taken the very route that the Manson minions took on the nights of august 8th & 9th 1969! Listen to recordings of Manson's music efforts, the killers own accounts of what went on, Vincent bugliosi, and see rare sharon tate , Jay Sebring footage. Rare autopsy photos. look down into where Sharon tate's front yard was. You will see where they had their last supper, where they worked, -Even Abigale Folger's shrink office. There are quite a few more surprises along the way that I won't divulge here because I want others to have the same experience I had. The tour guide has a better than average knowlege of the case and has a lot of crazy inside info that you just don't get out of a book! This is no 'G ' rated Disney ride folks! -It's a once in a lifetime experience.

If offered a part 2 to continue the following day ( or same day ) . I would have chose to continue to Spahnn Ranch and Gary Hinman's home plus more on topanga canyon / the family and bob Beasoil .

If you've read the book Helter Skelter, seen any of the TV movies or documentaries, followed the case, are a crime buff or just a tourist take this tour. Scott Michaels does an excellent, excellent job of showing you where all the mayhem took place in the summer of 1969. You go up Cielo Drive, up Benedict Canyon. Scott shows you exactly where the killers stopped to wash off after the murders, the exact spot where the garden hose still is today. Then there's the spot where they threw the clothes off the side of the road, plus a TV news clip from 1969 taken at the spot you're at. Then he shows you where the gun was tossed. You will later see the LaBianca house and Scott pretty much takes you step by step what happened that night. I've been doing my own sightseeing of Manson sites in LA since 1981 and I've never seen it like Scott showed it to me. There's so much more. I've driven by Jay Sebring's hair salon location many times not knowing the history there. Highly recommended. Scott knows his stuff, has worked hard to make sure what he shows you in 100 percent fact and he knows the ins and outs of the roads, especially in the hills above LA. I cannot recommend this tour enough. As Dudley Moore said about Bo Derek in the movie "10" - I give it an 11.

My coworker and I went on the tour. I heard about it on TV and was thrilled I could participate in such a tour. The tour was very informative and provided interesting angles. I was aware of a lot of the information from a program I saw on Manson; however, there was information I wasn't aware of such as the music the Manson family recorded and details on the people who were murdered. The movie clips with Sharon Tate were great. I enjoyed the tour very much and would definitely recommend it to others.

The tour was fun and very informative. The tour dude knows EVERYTHING about this case, and he did a great job explaining things along the way, and supplementing the drive with videos and music from the era.
