suggestions to make it better
Sat, Jun 27  9:30 AM hotzhusker Female 30-39 Local Group of Friends
I thought that it would have been better had we been able to see, it seemed that we were crowded in the van, if there was no top on the van, we could at least look up and out, to be able to see all the sights. Otherwise i enjoyed the trip. I thought it was fun, and informative. Thought it would be a darker tour, with more death, but it was ok.

A great way to see Los Angeles!

My girlfriend and I have lived in Los Angeles for a little over a year. We had a friend visiting from out of state and took the opportunity to take the tour and we're glad we did! It was informative and fun and showed us stuff we would have had no other way of finding out. Our guide was obviously more then just paid to do his job, he knows what he's talking about and it shows.

the time went by very quickly and we had a great time. I would consider taking the tour again and would go on another longer more in depth or different tour if it were offered.

We're locals but still really enjoyed learning about locations we have driven past many times... not knowing someone famous lived and died right in our own neighborhood. Thanks Scott! Great job!

A Great Tour
Sun, Jun 21  1:00 PM lizm1234 Female 40-49 International Tourist(s) Individual
This tour was the best activity I did in my five days in LA. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and ensured that a huge range of sites of interest were included. My sister who was travelling with me was green with jealousy when I told her about the various places and stories she'd missed out on. The tour is probably not suitable for kids as the guide goes into considerable detail regarding some famous Hollywood Murders but adults should really enjoy it. This was way better than any "homes of the stars" tour I have been on or heard about.

Very fun afternoon
Sun, Jun 21  1:00 PM bigredsmurf Female 20-29 Local Family Without Children
My husband and I took our parents on this tour on Father's Day afternoon. All of us grew up here in So. California, but just thought this would be a fun way to explore the LA and Hollywood areas. The tour van held 14 passengers so it was a nice sized group, not to large. The guide was very friendly and knowledgable. The price was great, especially for the length of the tour. We loved that the tour wasn't all about death and crime scenes... while it did include some of those things, it also included information on historical movie and tv filming locations and a well rounded bunch of hollywood history. Our only complaint, and it's a small one, is we wish the windows on the van were a little larger, making it easier to take in all the sights. Overall, it was a fabulously fun way to explore the area and spend time together. We would love to take some more of these tours.

We were very satisfied with our Dearly Departed tour and Scott's knowledge of all things L.A. I would highly recommend it and will definitely retake it again when in L.A. Also, picked up Scott's Helter Skelter video and have thoroughly enjoyed it. David, Ky

More than we expected!!

I do not take time for reviews, but for this tour ~ I was so impressed that I want to share my thoughts. This tour was MUCH more than we expected. The guide was extremely informative and knowledgeable. He obviously put alot of time in studying all the aspects of each location we visited and he put alot of himself into this tour. We not only went to see places of "departed" people but we also visited homes of alot of current actors and actresses. WE loved it and will take another such tour in the near future. FANTASTIC!!!

GREAT TOUR! THANKS FOR RETURNING OUR CAMERA

Went on the tour with my 17 yr old daughter and 2 adult nieces. We really loved it and enjoyed seeing places we had only read about or saw photos. Our tour guide was Rick, (i think) he was filled with loads of info to keep the tour interesting. One note: my niece left her camera on the bus and we contacted our guide via email and voice mail and he met us the following day to return it:) THANKS AGAIN!!!

Great for seeing a different side of Hollywood
Thu, Jun 18  1:00 PM JoeCanchola Male 30-39 Combination Family Without Children
My family was out from Chicago. I am a local, but decided to take my family from Chicago to see "a different side of Hollywood" and surrounding areas. It was very informational and Richard was very knowledgeable. Although there were a few spots where we were looking through the trees and could barely see what he was referring to, most of the 3+ hour tour was not like that. The reference books he pulls out with photos of how things were then is a plus because you get to compare how they looked then to how they look now; it is a very interesting tour. The audio recordings that includes 911 calls or the background information about the sites he shows you was very well put together.

Fun day
Tue, Jun 16  1:00 PM smmontgomery Female 60-69 Local Group of Friends
It is always a pleasure to have someone else drive us around LA and point out the sites that are famous. Plus, we enjoy driving thru some of the neighborhoods that other wise we would not know existed. LA is such a diverse place and this tour certainly emphasizes that. Richard, our driver, was very knowledgeable. He also did us the courtesy of waiting for us. We had given ourselves and hour and a half to drive from Orange County but ran into very heavy traffic for some reason (no accidents, no road closures, no construction, no special event).

Fascinating
Sat, Jun 13  1:30 PM cloust Female 50-59 Local Individual
I am a local, having lived in the LA area my entire life. Fascinating what one can learn about the city you live in. Things you had heard about, were aware of but not like this. This is a tour that is off the beaten path. It gives you a glimpse of city life that other tours do not offer. The tour guide is both hospitable and very knowledgeable. While it does cover the darker aspects of the city I have to admit I enjoyed it. The length of the tour is perfect. Not to short, not to long. The money spent is well worth it. I highly recommend the tour.

More on the Subject and Less on the Fluff
Sat, Jun 13  1:30 PM ROBIJ037 Unspecified Unspecified Domestic Tourist(s) Unspecified
Unless you change the name to the Dearly Departed places and things in Los Angeles and Not use the word Tragical History Tour, it would make more sense. It was enjoyable to see the infamous things like the LiBianca Murders and I could even allow the George Michaels stop. But how does the Lucille Ball Soundstage, the Intolernace Set, Rob Zombie's House, The Osbourne Home, The Happy Days Home, Judy Garland's home, Mae West Apartments, George Burns home, Alta Loma Apartments or where James Dean laid in the street during filming have anything to do with "Tragical" was hard to comprenhend. It seemed as though you were advertizing for other tours and not giving me what I paid for. There must be more. Also, unless you are showing more than the LiBianca murder home, we have no need to hear Charles Manson's world vision on the loud speaker for more than the length it took us to look at the LiBianca house. That segment was overkill.
