Brian is a hoot!!! He knows so much about Hollywood. It's more than just where someone passed, he's also very knowledgeable about architecture. And it helps he knows celebrity houses (OK, that's for me). We had a great time listening to his stories. I would definitely recommend this to anyone thinking about going on a tour through Hollywood. I would even do it again! Amazing value for the price of the ticket! |

Make sure you leave yourself enough time to view the artifacts in their shop either before or after the tour.
The tour is informative, sad, shocking and funny. It's amazing the history of Hollywood and Beverly Hills with so much history in such a small area.
Take your camera. Full marks to the driver and tour guide. I believe his name was Richard.

Im a huge fan of the history of Hollywood. I enjoyed the tour so much because our tour guide was not only very friendly but new what he was talking about. My sister & I had such an awesome time that we are going to take the other tours.

Great way to get an overview of LA 's classic sights and get some gritty, grizzly facts along the way! Took my 15 yr son and 30 yr old nephew both enjoyed. Might be a little longer than needed to be. |

Awesome tour! Brian, our tour guide was off-the-hook fabulous, very entertaining and informative, took the time to give an in-depth look and the "Hollyweird" He knew soooo much about the death and degradation that has happened in Hollywood. |

Scott and Richard, my driver and guide was insanely personable and knowledgeable. I however regret sitting in the front seat as today I am fighting a bad cold from the A.C. blowing on me for 3 hours.. I look forward to my next trip to L.A. to take another tour.. Great Job Rich!!! Scott Michaels is knowledgeable, funny and always entertaining. He adds depth and intrigue to a city that we thought we already knew. I've taken his tour twice, and will continue to recommend it to friends, both near and afar. It's so nice to be able to share an afternoon with someone who is so passionate about his interests.

Loved the tour. My family was in town and dying:) to do this tour. I must say, it seemed more informational hollywood than surrounded by death, but I thought that was a good thing. They absolutely loved it. It could maybe have been a tad shorter (perhaps no need for the very last stop), but overall fantastic -

Entertaining guide with many facts and personal experiences with meeting celebrities. My only complaint is you ride in a van, and it can be difficult to see a site if you are sitting on opposite side, but there is not much they can do about that. The ride was never boring as there was always something to see. |

The Dearly Departed Hollywood Tragical History Tour is the 2nd tour we've been on with Brian Donnelly (the best tour guide ever!). The first tour was the Dearly Departed Hollywood Movie Tour. They were both excellent tours! Brian is SO knowledgeable and FUN to listen to... He talks non-stop (this is a good thing! :) My husband and I had so much fun on this tour, we're planning to go on a third one the next time we're in LA. The tour van holds a small number of people and seemed very personal. Brain was enthusiastic, energetic and willing and able to answer any questions asked! We learned a lot , laughed a lot and had a ton of fun the entire time!
Recommendation: GO!!!! ...and have a blast! |
