Dearly Departed Tours

Our tour guide Brian was awesome!! Gave lots of information and made it fn to hear about everything. I truely recommend everyone to take this tour and hear all the fun stories Brian knows his stuff!

I spent a week in LA, and this was the best activity I participated in. I very highly recommend it, and our tour guide was awesome and very sweet :)!!

This tour was fabulous and Brian was so informative and witty! A true tour guide! This was my first trip to LA and I wanted to see the sights, but also get a different perspective on just the normal star tours. This was everything and more. I did get a discounted ticket to take a different star tour a few days later and realized within the first 10 minutes that I was so happy to have done the Dearly Departed tour first. It was definitely worth the extra money. Brian is a true fan of Hollywood and all of its tales, he was not just reading off of a script. He would interact with us and tell us a story about the person or place we were visiting. It wasn't, "This is where Steven Spielberg lives (which is not true)", or "Michael Jackson died here". He kept up a monologue the whole time, it was very entertaining. I give it an A+!

I chose this tour as a birthday present for my mother. We both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The only thing I wished they provide, is a map of the route taken.

This is so much better than your average tour of the stars' homes and famous landmarks...it's a look behind the tinsel and glamour to the tragedies and unsolved mysteries of L.A., the price of fame and fortune, the risks and responsibilities of making it big in Hollywood...filled with juicy tidbits and gossip you won't find anywhere else and even some surprises. Highly recommended...and be sure to browse the Dearly Departed museum of strange Hollywood artifacts...it's kind of creepy but a hoot.

Hollywood death and scandal intrigues me so I was very excited to find this tour! It was the most reasonably priced and did give me that "we're trying to rip off tourists" feeling! While it includes other interesting facts outside of the doom and gloom it is for sure not for the youngsters! The owner and tour guide definitely know their stuff and the attention to detail make it an unforgettable experience! Can't wait to come back for another tour!

Fantastic! Enough death and darkness for those with a taste for gore, but plenty of interesting facts, anecdotes, sites, humor, etc. I highly recommend this tour for everyone. Our tour guide was fantastic, and his comments, interspersed with audio clips of actual interviews, 911 calls, etc., gave us way more info than I anticipated. We saw SO much, I would actually love to do the tour again (or version 2, which I understand is in the works). One thing I really liked was that there were no pauses or lulls in his commentary, so people on the bus did not feel inclined to add comments or carry on conversations, that was nice, everyone was quiet and let the tour guide do the tour!

Loved, loved, loved it. Want to go again and do the Helter Skelter tour next.

This is a great tour with a lot of character! Brian's impressive knowledge was only surpassed by his charm. A truly great experience for a couple locals and my visiting parents.

This was our second tour with Scott and again we were amazed at his knowledge of the events that took place. Scott is excellant at his interpretation of re-living what happened those 2 awful nights. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who thought they knew what happened - Scott tells you everything you didn't and more.!! Go on this one!!

Thought it was lots of fun and a morbid delight! One of best afternoons spent on our trip. Would love to do again.

I went on the tour with my sixteen year old daughter, and we are both SoCal natives, and we had a great time on the tour. I would definitely recommend it to tourists and locals. The tour guide, Brian Donnelly was awesome and he also pointed out other interesting landmarks not just the ones about dead celebrities, which I thought was really cool. It is awesome learning more about my city and as Mr. Donnelly said getting a chance to see how your city is represented to the rest of the world. I would love to take another one of their tours especially the Manson tour, as I was very impressed with this one.

Good Tour

Lots of information and lots of sites. Had a great time and really enjoyed our tour guide. Very knowledgeable.
