Dearly Departed Tours

Entertaining guide with many facts and personal experiences with meeting celebrities. My only complaint is you ride in a van, and it can be difficult to see a site if you are sitting on opposite side, but there is not much they can do about that. The ride was never boring as there was always something to see.

My mother was in town visiting and is not a very "graphic" person, and even she really enjoyed this tour. This tour is great for everyone and a wonderful non-traditional way to introduce someone to the city. This is the second time I have been on this tour personally and have enjoyed it both times. This was a very informative and interesting tour. I've been on other tours and since I am local, most of the other tours showed me places and details I already knew. This tour however was different. I learned things that I didn't already know. Details of stories I had heard from the news but didn't quite get the picture until going of this afternoon tour. Very well done.

A great tour of the underbelly of Los Angeles. The tour guide - Brian - certainly knows his stuff: facts and details come flooding out of him. He's funny and very engaging and his love of the movies certainly shines through. Nice to see that there is more than the squeaky clean version of the movie stars that the studios would have us believe.

Fun and interesting tour

Brian provided an excellent commentary along the route, giving us more than a canned routine. I would definately recommend this tour. Thanks!

I've been reading about this case for years now, and was impressed with Scott's knowledge and thoroughness! The route we took was well planned and allowed us to hit almost all of the important locations. The victims were in no way degraded and the killers were not glorified. A+ tour.......highly recommended!

Everything went well, and Richard was very knowledgeable, If you are going to go on a tour of hollywood, I would suggest taking this one. The only thing that I was disappointed about during my trip was the Manson tour was not running that week, real bummer. If they are working a dearly departed II which I read somewhere, it would be interesting to see some of the Hillside strangler/nightstalker sites. Thanks for everything

Enjoyed the tour but felt that there was more to be told about various places and the last 20 minutes felt incredibly rushed. But it's a great alternative to the usual tours of Hollywood stars' gates, hedges and security systems (although we saw a few of those as well).

This was the BEST tour I took. I was born and grew up in SO CA, but never took a tour when I lived in CA. Moved from CA and come back yearly to see my family and decided to just do a tourist day. Went on 3 tours, and this was my favorite....................the tour/driver was incredible (so knowledgeable). Since I grew up in Hollywood I knew what he was talking about. I loved this tour.

The tour is worth every penny. It is THE best Tour I've been on in Hollywood so far. The Tour lasted almost 4 hours! Scott drove us all over Hollywood, to most of the locations that surrounded the murders. A MUST for those interested in the Manson/Tate/LaBianca Cases. Scott also has another Tour that I went on last year, the Dearly Departed Tour. This Tour is also worth every penny and was 3 1/2 hours. I will go on them again when I return to Hollywood in the future. Thanks Scott!

This tour was the most awesome one I ever took. The sound effects (radio headlines, music, interviews) were superb. The tour guide was knowledgeable and into every aspect of the movie industry. Every question was answered and more details furnished. More locations were included than I expected. You can't go wrong with this tour.

I've been on tours before, but none had tour guides that were as humorous, well-informed, and nice as Brian. Not only that, but he was having fun with it, instead of spouting off the same facts day in and day out in a drone. I think, because he had fun with it, I retained so much more information than I would have otherwise. I would recommend this to anybody (well, maybe not kids, but thankfully I'm not friends with any!). Sure, parts of it are a bit.. well, odd.. but look at what the tour is called for pete's sake! I hope there's a pt. 2 version that happens soon, I would love to learn more!

A fascinating tour with lots of information on death and scandal sites all over Hollywood. I would like to see another tour done on the west side of L.A. including the O.J. sites, Marylin Monroe death site, etc.
