My husband and I really enjoyed the Dearly Departed tour. The tour guide was pleasant and extremely knowledgable. We are recommending it to our friends! The tour was both interesting and a bit scary at times. We loved it!

The tour and the tour guide was very informative. I've lived in Southern California for a long time and someof the fact and places where places and facts I had heard long ago about, but found it very interested to see the actual places where everthing happened. Seeing some of ald hollywood landmarks made me want to see more and learn more.

Not just a death tour...

The tour struck a good balance of being entertaining and informative. The tour guide's light hearted approach was fun but there was also a healthy dose of the dark side to keep it interesting. I liked that there were tidbits of gossip and fun facts about L.A./Hollywood peppered into the tour. The audio clips verged on being cheesy -- but the tour guide never took himself or the tour too seriously so it actually worked and enhanced the experience. My friend and I really enjoyed the tour -- it was a fun and unique way of spending a Sunday afternoon in L.A. Hopefully, not just tourists take the tour because I think many L.A. natives would get a kick out of it as well -- if not more so.

I went on the tour last Sunday, and I was very impressed. Scott knew his way around, knew what he was talking about, and was very enthusiastic about it. There was so much information, and the visual aids he handed out were helpful. It was a lot of fun!

had a really fun time. Very informative. One tip though. The tour seemed to loose a bit of its omph toward the end of the tour. Once we were in Beverly Hills, it seemed like any other star tours, but we still had fun.

My favorite part of the tour is when we are able to see the homes that the most terrifying murders took place. I was a little dissapppointed in not seeing Sharon Tate's home, but I believe that is on the other tour........I am a definate go on that one along with my family. We will definately be on the next tour up and coming. Any information on that tour would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Tuesday Navarette

The BEST Hollywood tour I've been on

I am a local resident and have been on several of the different Hollywood tours and tour of stars home when I have out of town guest visiting. This is about my fourth tour and it was by far the best one yet. Scott is very informative and passionate about his work. He has done a lot of research and has a lot of inside info that the other companies do not provide. Scott hit all of the major spots that the big name tour companies hit, but he provided much more information and hit more sights than the other companies do. This tour had a lot of extras. I found that Dearly Departed was much more enjoyable, informative and cheaper than the other tours. Bottom line is, with Dearly Departed, you get much more your money. I highly recommend this tour.

We loved the tour!! It was the best part of our trip. Three hours flew by fast, we weren't ready to get out of the van yet. You can tell that Scott loves his job and knows his facts. We would recommend that anyone visiting L.A or Hollywood to take this tour, its well worth your time.

BEST 35 BUCKS YOU'LL EVER SPEND in HOLLYWOOD!!!!!

Scott Michael's, the tour guide, has a natural warm comedic wit as he entertains you for a good 3-1/2+ hours on the Dearly Departed Tour. Having grown up on a diet of 1950s movies, tv, movie stars, history of Hollywood, monster movies. the 60s and punk rock music, I highly recommend this trip. It's worth every penny. The tour covers the stars of long ago up to the current sometimes comic DWIs and traffic accidents of today. So on your next trip to Disneyland, put the Dearly Departed Tour on the top of your MUST DO list! We will be doing this tour again! Johnnie & Cynthy Midnite

The Dearly Departed Tour is worth every penny. Tourguide Scott is funny and informative. If you dig the "dark" side of Hollywood history, you'll love this tour.

When I first boarded the bus with my friend, Scott asked us if we would mind waiting for a party that was late. Although I didn't understand this, given the strict policy on the website, I was not in the majority, so we were delayed. I also had talked to Scott about a particular incidence, at a particular building. The death of Diane Linkletter at Shoreham Towers, where I happen to live! Although Scott seemed knowledgeable about the incident, by the time we drove by Shoreham Towers, he seemed to be in a hurry, and didn't even mention the incident, which I think is one of the more interesting mysterious deaths around. I believe Scott was trying to make up for lost time due to the lateness of other participants. It really felt like a slight, and a missed opportunity to speak about a fascinating "death". As this tour bills itself as a tour of famous murders, mysterioius deaths, I would suggest more emphasis on this publisized aspect of the tour. The "George Michael Memorial Park", stop was interesting, but took a long time and had nothing to do with famous homicides/suicides. Sincerely, John
