You will learn so much about Hollywood and the crazy history that exists in this city - you can't make this stuff up!!! Scott is a tremendous tour guide. He's very knowledgable and loves his job. I highly recommend this tour!

Scott is an excellent tour guide. He knows his LA stuff and encourages conversation among his customers, always seeking more knowledge about the Dearly Departed locally and nationwide. We were morbidly fascinated, appalled and disgusted by his stories, but he was able to have us laughing moments later. Enjoy your tour!

My wife and I woent on the tour and it was great, just as we hoped. I wondered how a 3 hour drive around hollywood would be entertaining but the tour guide did a great job telling stories and keeping us entertained with his humor. There was never more than 3 minutes where he didnt tell an interesting story. We definately recommend this tour for everyone, it may be a little edgy for little children. There was no children on our tour so it was ok by us.

This tour is great! The driver is extremely knowledeagble about the area and balances the dark subject matter with some light-hearted trivia. He shows you star homes that you can actually see, and historic sites around LA (with the pictures to prove it). Worth every penny. It would be nice if the van didn't have a roof though.

Scott Michaels gives you the absolute best tour of Hollywood. He knows his stuff and its a great three-hours plus tour on all the nooks and crannies of Hollywood, Beverly Hills and more. I'm from New Jersey and I've been reading about and touring Los Angeles since 1981. I have taken more than 10 different tours over the years, and Scott's Dearly Departed Tour was by far the best I've been on. I saw neighborhoods I never knew existed. Plus he really knows where he's going and all his stories are 100 percent accurate and true (unlike some other tours I've been on). He even gives you a binder with photos so you can see more about what he's referring to at certain locations. Even wihen we made a rest stop, at a bathroom in Beverly Hills, he gives you a copy of a police report describing how George Michales got arrested coming out of that bathroom in 1998. He combines movie stars homes, rock and roll, scandal, murder, death and more in the tour. So many stories that we heard on the news over the years, Scott shows you exactly where it took place. The Manson murders, the newsstand where Paris Hiilton shoplifted her sex videotape. the corner where a drunk Lindsay Lohan hit some shrubs. There's a lot of tours to chose from when visiting Hollywood. " The Dearly Departed's Hollywood Tragical History Tour/" is by far the best. Thank you Scott Michaels for a great afternoon on your tour.

I travelled to L.A. to.... Go on a cruise, and experience this tour. This tour was way better than the cruise. Thanks Scott for a very informative, and fascinating trip. I really feel like I got to know about the past, present, and future of Hollywood, and it's surrounding area's. Highly recomend this for everyone from locals' to tourists. Really gives you a sense of the reality of L.A., and less about the mistique

This is the second tour I've taken with Scott. I highly recommend it! You'll love it!

My 12-year old daughter and I went on a recent Saturday morning. The guide was very well spoken and added just enough humor to balance out all of Hollywood's dark history. He included early Hollywood and recent events. Great stuff! Later in the week we recommended the tour to friends who live in L.A.

My wife and I did not feel like we were on a tour but more like we were out with friends. Scott knew his stuff and kept it entertaining. I would suggest varied tours with different focuses. We'd take them all then.

In 3 and a half hours, Scott managed to cram in so many places of interest in and around Hollywood. My favourite was seeing the Halloween house and the Grease playground. Thumbs up for a great tour

Scott has organised the tour very well so that you see 3 murder sites and other places of interest connected to the Manson killings. The tour was very interesting and educational and in no way seeks to glamorise the murderers

Dearly Departed Tours is an absorbing 3.5 hour trek through Hollywood's past and present, focusing on the the more lurid aspects of celebrity deaths, murders, suicides, and scandals. Tour guide Scott is an engaging host who really knows his stuff. From the Black Dahlia murder to the Manson family grisliness, he provides pointed insight and detail while showing you the infamous sights around town. From Bela Lugosi to Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. From Howard Hughes to Hugh Grant's hooker! From Eddie Murphy's tranny to the actual bathroom where George Michael was busted! Not all of it is gruesome and salacious. Any fan of music and movies will be intrigued by this tour which cruises down Sunset Strip and points out historic rock and music trivia. From Janis and Jim to the Ramones, it's all here. Highly recommended!!
