The tour guide, Brian, was fun, entertaining, and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed this tour and learned a lot--about people, history, houses, and Beverly Hills and Hollywood. I would highly recommend this tour. |

I have been a HUGE fan of findadeath.com for years. When we planned our trip to L.A., booking this trip was the first thing I did and boy was it worth every cent! I brought along my husband and two friends, both who had never heard of the site, but were intrigued after hearing my enthusiastic sales pitch. As I walked into the Dearly Departed Tour office and saw Scott Michaels behind the desk, my cold, dead heart skipped a beat! Was HE to be our tour guide? Alas he was not, but assured us that we would not be disappointed with Brian. Scott then suggested we look around the tiny two floor building which was full of morbid memorabilia either before or after the tour. He was then gracious enough to pose with me for a picture and gasp! gave me an official Death Hag sticker to call my own! Swoon! We then boarded the comfortable air-conditioned mini-bus for a fascinating trip through Hollywood's morbid past and our guide Brian could not have been any more fantastic! You can tell this guy LOVES his job and loves this city. He was like a kid that ate too many Pop Rocks & soda! Brian had also been a Hollywood tour guide for years, so not only did he point out the creepy, but also pointed out several celeb homes & lots of fun tidbits. Every time we made a stop to view either a home or location, he made sure to pull over, or if he could not, drive very slowly so everyone could get a good look or snap a picture. Brian was also very interactive with the group and answered any questions asked. He was full of knowledge and enthusiasm. In the end, the tour was fantastic & I recommend it to all fellow Death Hags and also to anyone that likes things a little twisted and a lot of fun! |

I took this tour with my husband, it was a great way to see Hollywood and Beverly Hills and learn a bunch of interesting history! Tons of info, lots of fun! Tidbits on current celebrities, too.
Note: This is for mature audiences only, some story and visuals were very graphic/violent/morbid, but very interesting and critical to shaping Hollywood history. |

I had a blast on this tour! I made my friend go with me and she was not very enthusiastic beforehand ("Bus tours are tacky"), but once we got going, she was really into it and told me later she enjoyed it a LOT more than she thought she would. Our bus driver was awesome and he knew a lot of Hollywood insiders, as he was a part-time actor, so we got a lot of gossip from him as well. He was funny and answered any questions we had. I LOVED seeing places that I was not expecting to see on this tour, such as the place where Chris Brown beat up Rihanna and the restroom where George Michael became famous for more than just his music. There was the perfect balance of history, pop culture, and violence. I also liked how they played movie and audio clips to tell us a bit more about the areas we were visiting. I also highly recommend buying or renting the documentary made by the owner of Dearly Departed Tours on Amazon. I watched it before I came to LA and got me extra excited for the tour. By the way, the "museum" of memorabilia in the office is quite interesting too, if not odd. |

I and my 19 yr. old son decided to take this tour after talking about some of the interesting 'never-solved' crimes in the LA area. He being much younger than me, was not familiar with all the names and events, but found the tour quite fascinating anyway! And it was not just about the dark things of Hollywood, there were some very interesting facts and history of Hollywood itself. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see some interesting sites and stories of some of the most notorious macabre events in LA. And also those that just want to see the sites and not worry about the traffic! Wonderful tour guide and very comfortable bus. Can't wait to take the "Helter Skelter Tour"! |

Probably my favorite tour. I loved driving through the streets of Beverley
Hills. Can recommend this to anyone. A good all around way to see LA with interesting sights that aren't offered by any other tour company. |

My best friend and I try to find fun and different things to do in the L.A. Area for each others birthdays. It's our time to loose the kids and husbands and be goofy. The Dearly Departed Tour fit the bill perfectly, and our tour guide/driver, Brian, was terrific! We both grew up in the Los Angeles area and had seen some of the sights on the tour but the insight and stories that Brian told us gave it new meaning. Like seeing it for the first time again. And seeing sites from headlines we have read in the news made it all real! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! |

I highly recommend this tour. Brian is the best guide I've ever had on a tour and he had us out there for
more than the designated time. If you want to see alot of current movie stars homes, this tour isn't for you, but you see and hear about famous crimes and deaths and it was very interesting. So glad I did it! |

Our group traveled from Sacramento, Calif. and Liverpool, England and specifically made a trip to Hollywood just to go on this tour. To our excitement we were greeted by Scott and absolutely star struck. He was friendly and approachable, and even took photos with us. Once on the tour we were delightfully intrigued and entertained by our tour guide and enjoyed every minute of this great experience. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone that has in interest in learning about the darker aspect of Hollywood with a sarcastic yet humorous approach to death. We are looking forward to booking our next tour, thanks guys! Keep up the great work! |
