I am a CA Local and had family visiting from NY. This tour was so cool. We cruised all around visiting famous crime scenes, learning cool facts about Hollywood I would never have know. I am so glad I did this - so many places I've driven by a zillion times now have new meaning. I am most definetey going back for another tour - I highly recommend this. Our guide was awesome too.

My daughter and I went on the Dearly Departed Hollywood Tragical Tour while visiting the SoCal area. Brian was our tour guide and he was so much fun!! We saw homes/locations where crimes actually took place, as well as several celebrity homes, which I didn't expect but really enjoyed. The tour was 3 hours long and very much worth the price. Brian is extremely knowledgable and not only gave us tons of information, he also interacted with our group which made it extra fun! He obviously loves his job and does it well! I would definitely recommend a Dearly Departed Tour (we wanted to go on the Helter Skelter Tour but it didn't fit into our schedule). Treat yourself to a tour...and prepare for an great time!

Amazing tour. As soon as we boarded the van, great old 60's music started playing & continued on & off throughout the tour. We hit all the main crime scenes & points of interest. there were lots of interesting videos on the TV to watch. Scott is very knowledgeable & did great job of explaining where we were & what went on. The 3.5 hrs flew by & I would do it again if ever in the area. Highly recommended

My girl and I loved this Tour. Brian and Scott were both outstanding. i got the feeling they're very much in love with what they do. we learned a ton of great stuff and could of listened to Brian for a 5 hour tour easily. i've already recommended this tour to a handful of people and we've already made plans to take another tour they offer. "Helter Skelter" is next. thanx Good Night

amazing tour guide! tour not only touches on death and scandal, but it tells you famous film sites and discusses the history of hollywood itself. you should definitely make enough time to get there and roam around the office to see the famous death artifacts (rock hudson's death bed isn't available for public view until february, i was told). i was given two free "death hag" stickers when i said it was my birthday and that i loved the helter skelter doc on Netflix they put out. also, when we got to a previous residence of Marilyn Monroe's, the tour driver announced it was my birthday and played her rendition of "happy birthday mister president" for me. stating how often on a birthday do you get to be serenaded by Marilyn outside her old house. great time! i want to come back someday to do the full on helter skelter murders tour

The departed and much much more.

Brian knows L.A. and its history and obviously works hard to be good at his job. He is! He delivers a tour that's not just about the departed, but includes a lot of other fascinating L.A. information. I'm recommending this tour to all my friends who go to L.A. I've been going to L.A. for years and finally decided to do a tour. I couldn't have picked a better one. Thanks for a great time!

this tour was actually great, but it lasted nearly 3 hours and was almost information overload. I was exhausted by the end.

This tour was a very intimate look at Hollywood/Beverly Hills and I would highly recommend it. It's not for the "faint of heart" though! Our awesome tour guide, Brian, was absolutely brilliant and so knowledgeable. I liked his honest way of presenting the facts and yet respectful way of sharing some things that I am still having a hard time stomaching! I will never look at this area the same again and if I ever come back to LA (not likely ;)) I will for sure look them up! Thank you!

Our group had a great time. The guys who run it are cool. There are some non-death related facts and tidbits in the tour that provide a good processing time for the rest of the death stuff. At first I was like "why is he talking about that house? No one died there." And then I realized it gave my brain a nice break from all of the other information so I could process more once we got back into the dearly departed part. Good job!! I think it needs an update and I would say some of the information on the lesser known people is too quick since few people have a reference for it, but other than that, it was great. Loved hearing the 911 calls and interviews while driving past the places. Good mix of information and fun. Thanks!

Dearly Departed is NOT a tragic history...

I had so much fun on this tour, from the tour office until the very end! I am a local born and raised LA girl, a celebrity sighting is nothing new to me. I bought these tickets for my significant other for Xmas, she's very into the education of crime, etc. and is always really star struck when we see someone famous. The tour was very informative, even for someone like me that thinks she knows the history of LA and the "hotspot" locations I had many '"oooh" and "ahhh" moments. Our tour guide was funny, informative and generally very pleasant. I am definitely going to do the Helter Skelter tour next. And I have been recommending the Dearly Departed tour like crazy. The only issue, and its not really an issue, is that I got really hungry and food is not allowed on the tour bus. So eat a meal before or take a snack to eat during the bathroom break.

I would HIGHLY recommend this tour!

My husband and I were visiting (from Minneapolis, MN) our CA friend and wanted to go on a tour that would show us movie locations. Our friend suggested we go with the same tour company that she had been on for the Dearly Departed Tour. We all had an amazing time; Brian Donnelly was engaging, fun, and genuine from the moment we arrived and I can't imagine there is anyone else as knowledgeable! My favorite part of the tour was seeing the "Murder House" from American Horror Story and how the DVD clips were perfectly timed with our arrival at the locations. Since my knowledge of older movies is somewhat limited, I felt I walked away with a new appreciation for Hollywood's history. The variety of movie locations from different movie genres is also very appealing. We fully intend on getting back to Hollywood and going on another tour, and we enthusiastically recommend anyone visiting or living in LA to go on one through the Dearly Departed Tours. You will be so glad you did!
