Dearly Departed's Hollywood Tragical History Tour

We couldn't have asked for a more knowledgable and enthusiastic tour guide. I reviewed several other tour companies with very mixed reviews on their tour guides. Brian is the best of the best so we highly recommend Dearly Departed Tours and would go again when we have out of town guests in the future.

My family loves everything about Hollywood, the Golden era to date. We had talked about taking this tour for the past couple of years and finally did it. I recommend doing this tour at least once. Our tour guide was great!! He added more to our tour than we expected. We drove to celebrity houses and even gave my daughter Johnny Depp's home address and showed her where he lives. Thank you for all the extras!! My family had a great time and recommend to everyone!

This was the best tour that we took. Our tour guide was very good. Friendly, knowledgeable, funny and took his time telling us about different things. Highly recommend. If there is one tour you should take it is this one.

Took this tour with my friend and son (age 26) and we all enjoyed it immensely. The tour guide was extremely personable and knowledgeable and his passion for the subject of Hollywood and its history were clearly evident. Although it may sound morbid to see where the Hollywood star met their demise, I found it a fascinating way to see the town and the homes of my favorite stars. The stories were things I had read about and being able to connect the place and the story was great. The tour guide personalized the tour to the group which I also appreciated. I certainly would recommend this to anyone who likes something a little out of the norm (instead of just a plain Hollywood tour).

the tour guide (Richard) was awesome he was very informative and very polite to my daughter i was very comfortable around him and i could tell he knew alot about the hollywood area. Richard was the safest driver i have ever seen. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody

I tried to find something that would interest an 18 year old as well as his parents and this was just right - fascinating but not too touristy -- we all liked it.

My wife and I took the tour with our adult children and loved it. It was fortunate for us that we had the bus to ourselves. Richard, our tour guide, was knowledgeable of Hollywood lore and was entertaining to boot. He answered my questions and gave us personalized service. The tour itself is much better than strictly seeing where the Stars live. We were given factual information about the crime scenes that was not given to the general public. When I saw the article about Dearly Departed Tours in Rue Morgue Magazine, I knew I had to experience it myself. All four of us rated the Tour as a must see.

We typically look for the unusual in choosing our vacation events. So, when we heard about the Dearly Departed tours, we were immediately intrigued. And we were not disappointed. Three hours of the seedy underbelly of Hollywood; murders, suicides, drug overdoses, arrests, and other mayhem left us wanting more. The tour guide was knowledgable and the pre-recorded music and narration was spot-on. If you want something more than just a tour of homes, this is the tour for you.
