Dearly Departed Tours

Entertaining guide with many facts and personal experiences with meeting celebrities. My only complaint is you ride in a van, and it can be difficult to see a site if you are sitting on opposite side, but there is not much they can do about that. The ride was never boring as there was always something to see.

This tour is sooo much better that other "Hollywood" tours. We had a blast. I didn't want it to end!

Brian was AWESOME! We cruised all over Hollywood learning some cool facts. The bus was a little small for the amount of people on the tour but we managed ok. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon and I will look for more tours this company does!

My mother was in town visiting and is not a very "graphic" person, and even she really enjoyed this tour. This tour is great for everyone and a wonderful non-traditional way to introduce someone to the city. This is the second time I have been on this tour personally and have enjoyed it both times. Thanks so much DD tours!

This tour is highly reccomended. Our tour guide, Brian Donnely was so into what he was doing. He was hilarious and full of so much crazy information. He goes off topic a bit, but it didn't matter because everything he said was either funny or fascinating. Tour took about three hours, so you definitely get your money's worth. Plus little additions like 911 recordings, George Michael's arrest report (that's where we took our bathroom break) and a binder full of gruesome photos and FUN facts made it all the more special! If you have a good sense of humor, you will love this tour. Go...now. Oh...and bring tip money. I had no idea that was basically standard, and since I never carry cash, I had nothing to give him. Still feel a little guilty.

The tour was everything I expected and more. Brian was so energetic and very informed. My head was spinning with all the information. This is the tour you want to go on!

This tour hit all the high points for us. We got to see some of the most famous and infamous places in Hollywood. We will be recommending this tour to all our friends. Thanks so much to Scott and his team especially Brian- an awesome tour guide!

I really enjoyed this tour, despite getting motion-sickness. The tour, obviously, can be a bit morbid at times, but it is still fascinating! And there was so much to learn on the tour that was not all about death. The only part that was not good for me was that I got really car sick. I sat in the seat behind the driver. I was very grateful for the couple times when we stopped to get out and have a break.

My grandparents and I really loved this tour. Our tour guide, Rich, was very knowledgeable and witty. I was most impressed with the fact that we did not get into an accident while he was driving and talking through narrow la trafficy streets! You receive a supplemental booklet to follow along with on the tour and you stop at both true crime locations, eg. The menendez brother's home, as well as fictional crime homes, eg, the "Halloween" house. Take pictures so when you get home you can rewatch some of these horror classics and recognize the locations. All and all it was a very fun tour and we would do it again!

I am looking forward to coming back and doing all the tours!!

the tour was so interesting and so thorough, i may go again knowing what will be on the tour. would reccomend for anyone with an appreciation for hollywood history.

Brian was a great tour guide! He had so much knowledge of everything related to the tour and some great personal stories to share. I thought this would be something different to do for my birthday and we all had such a great time! I would highly recommend this tour to everyone! Thanks!

I am a Hollywood Local who thought I know pretty much all there was to know about this town..but the Dearly Departed tour wowed me! I learned so many new and fun facts about "old" and "new" Hollywood. Our tour guide, Brian Donnelly, was well informed and enthusiastic - I have already recommended this to my brother (who wants to go on the tour and I may go with him: it was fun enough to do all over again!!) Great for local people and tourists...money well spent!!!

This was a very informative and interesting tour. I've been on other tours and since I am local, most of the other tours showed me places and details I already knew. This tour however was different. I learned things that I didn't already know. Details of stories I had heard from the news but didn't quite get the picture until going of this afternoon tour. Very well done.

A lot of references were geared towards individuals in their 40's and 50's. This would be great for them. Overall not bad but for someone in early 30's I didn't know a lot of the people the guide mentioned
