We wanted to go on the Tour for a couple of years being readers of Findadeath. It didn't disappoint; right from Scott arriving on time; throughout the many locations in the comfortable bus until the end. Scott has an amazing knowledge and his enthusiasm is infectious. We had a great time and will take the Healter Skelter tour :) and his new Hollywood tour when we return to LA. Don't hesitate, just book it and enjoy! Peter Wiggins

If you want to experience the underside of Hollywood and hear all the juicy gossip about celebrities' deaths, then the Dearly Departed Tour is for you. River Phoenix, Elizabeth Short and Sharon Tate are just a few of Hollywood's victims that you will learn about on this fascinating tour with Host Scott Michaels, our resident expert on death.

Too much fun and fact filled

I had taken a tour like this years ago and thought it was a good way to introduce my friends to the city but WOW: this was over-the-top value for money, informative, funny as hell [we now say "as you do" and "you can't make this stuff up" regularly] and very good driving. I learned so much and we followed some of that up. We totally got the jokes, the snide comments, the musical references [Bauhaus Bela Lugosi...well, I almost cried] and the Baby Jane stuff chasnged our lives [went out and bought the DVD directly after. Awesome. I would do it again in a heart beat.

I'm so glad we decided to take this tour. Scott added a great sense of humor to the tour and made it fun and interesting. I would recommend this tour to anyone that would like to learn about more than just the lights and glamour of Hollywood.

The tour guide kept all of the participants involved. He was wonderful. He was masterful on the streets, because we know that drivers can be aassholes. It was a real diversion for what we came for. Andre Watts at the hollywood bowl. He cancelled. This tour was our high light.

this was hands-down the best tour i have ever taken. scott definitely knows his stuff and makes the tour interesting from beginning until end. he plays music and other audio that serves as the PERFECT complement to the tour. i took the sunday morning tour, which i HIGHLY recommend, because the traffic is just about nil at that time in los angeles. GREAT JOB scott, and i can't wait until you start the movie location tours!! i am SO there!!!

Being born & raised in Los Angeles is no excuse for missing this tour. Growing up here in LA. I'd always been intrigued by the scadalous side of Hollywood's history. My friends & I have even done a little "sight seeing", of our own. This tour puts it all together for you. Scott is super knowledgeable & very humorous! My group got some of Hollywood's darker moments as well as some of it's brighter film sites & favorite spots for seeing celebs. I was a little shy about telling folks I went on a Death tour for my birthday, but sInce I've bragged about the tour I've had friends & family that are ready to take Scott's tour the next time I go.

This was a terrific tour. Following the events of August 1969 and seeing the actual sites was just creepy. Scott is an excellent tour guide and he knows so much about what happened. To top it all off, the story about the rocks he collected from the site of the Tate house just gave me chills. Now all I have to do is figure out how those ghostly looking stairs appeared in my picture of Susan Labianca's house. Great job, Scott !!!

I brought a friend who was only in LA for a day on this tour, as a taster of the history of Los Angeles. I myself had been in town a month, but hadn't fancied the prospect of the other tours available..very celbrity driven, with not a lot of proof that said celebs lived in the houses flaunted. my friend was a little worried it would be all death doom and gloom, but it was refreshingly balanced, with historical events and some new and older well known peoples houses shown. the guide was really engaging, and knew both the towns [LA] history, but also notable unusual events in the countries of all the tourists on the tour English, German ect. the guide was open to all questions about buildings, events, where certain stars lived, even his own breakfast contants were up for grabs. 3 and a half hours SOUNDS like a long time, but it flew. we pulled in and wer able to take great photos, the stop off and walk is well planned, the added sound and vision effects are brilliant. I really cannot rave about this tour enough. tipping in LA/America is obligitory, sometimes begrudgingly so. But in thuis instance, it was a pleasure. like the old saying goes, sucess comes from doing something ordinary extraordinary well. if thats the case this tour is a massive success. should be one in every city!!

Scott was full of information and very animated. He obviously loves his job and researches constantly. He was sensative to the kids, and made sure I didn´t let them see anything too graphic. He involved the group in the discussions and answered all of our crazy questions. I highly recommend the tour for anyone who wants to see a bit of the life and death of the rich and famous - or infamous!
