I had such an amazing time on this tour! Between the video footage and hearing details of what took place while sitting right in front of the buildings they took place in I was "in the moment" and got chills! Scott does such a great job of organizing this and is very knowledgeable and is willing to answer any questions and makes it fun!! It was so much fun re-living these moments in time. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I highly recommend this to anyone that is interested in going. You won't be disappointed!! I will definitely be going on another tour in the future.
Thanks again, Scott for the tour! One of the best experiences of my life! : D

This was either my fifth or sixth time on the Dearly Departed tour; whenever I have friends from out of town visit, I find that this is one of the most interesting and informative ways to show them around Los Angeles and Hollywood. The tour has just the right mixture of humor and the macabre and is downright fascinating; I never tire of it. For locals and tourists both, I recommend this tour most highly. |

Not Worth the Money

I really don't recommend this in any way. 40$ is too, TOO much for a simple bus tour. And the fact that 10 minutes into it they are already advertising for other tours is offensive. The tour guide was very sweet, and I liked the pictures included in the tour's booklet, but as a whole I left feeling like a wasted my money and afternoon. |

Our guide, who wishes to remain annoymous, created an experience that even the locals found entertaining, insightful and full of facts that would have mythbusters heads exploding.
Tootsie rolls and trivia iced the Tragical History Tour cake.
Yes! We will do it again and again! |

My friend found this tour through a travel book and we read a few online reviews and decided to take the plunge. It was our one super touristy thing to do. We were not disappointed, it was worth every penny. Brian is such a wonderful guide, he is very funny and is full of so much information it's crazy. He is very personable and if you have something that you really want to learn more about he will make sure that you do. Of course it's a morbid subject but it is so interesting. Our tour was very thorough and full of facts, it was great! If you are looking for something unique this is totally worth the time and money! |

Highly recomended for those who enjoy hearing about the darker side of life in Tinsel Town. Our guide, Brian Donnelly, was extremely well informed and very, very funny. The tour ranged far and wide, with asides on many different topics, but generally centred around the kinds of gruesome and salacious details we love. Brian obviously has deep knowledge of and real interest in the things he talked about and his expertise and enthusiasm shone through. The tour was a generous and packed three hours, but we would happily have listened to him all day. Not to be missed. |

This is the second tour we have taken with Dearly Departed Tours and this one was just as much fun as the first tour. Brian, the tour guide is very knowledgeable of Hollywood History. The bus is comfortable and I was thankful for the air conditioning. |

Prior to starting our tour, we had hoped Scott would lead it. Having no doubts Scott would be a great guide, I have to say our guide was amazing. Extremely knowledgable and fun. You could tell he loves his job. The tour takes you so many places and shows and informs you of way more than I had even anticipated. MUST DO on any trip itinerary to LA |

This tour was the most awesome one I ever took. The sound effects (radio headlines, music, interviews) were superb. The tour guide was knowledgeable and into every aspect of the movie industry. Every question was answered and more details furnished. More locations were included than I expected. You can't go wrong with this tour. |

I've been on tours before, but none had tour guides that were as humorous, well-informed, and nice as Brian. Not only that, but he was having fun with it, instead of spouting off the same facts day in and day out in a drone. I think, because he had fun with it, I retained so much more information than I would have otherwise. I would recommend this to anybody (well, maybe not kids, but thankfully I'm not friends with any!). Sure, parts of it are a bit.. well, odd.. but look at what the tour is called for pete's sake! I hope there's a pt. 2 version that happens soon, I would love to learn more! |

A fascinating tour with lots of information on death and scandal sites all over Hollywood. I would like to see another tour done on the west side of L.A. including the O.J. sites, Marylin Monroe death site, etc. |
