with the video and the tour guide and the music of the day playing the tour felt like a time warp to me. it also really put into perspective the whole manson story and that crazy summer, to see where all the locations were in relation to each other. very interesting.

This comes highly recommended due to its' content and the knowledge of the guide, i've said slowburner due to the fact that unless you have a basic knowledge of Hollywood scandal and/or it's diverse history, the first part won't mean much to some and puts the meat on the bones for others- the tour pitches at all age groups and has something for everyone even down to our guide pointing out different locations from The Hills as one of our party was a big fan. Very impressed and an enjoyable experience thanks to all involved. A shame the nasty Nellie tour was unavailable, that would have been the icing on the cake!!.

Had a GREAT time--tour guide was funny, interesting, and knew his stuff. Definitely worth the money!

Whilst I found the tour director slightly self indulgent at times, this was overall a good tour. I was on my own and found this a perfect way to see the homes of some of the stars & a few of the more unusual locations. Would reccommenhd this to others & found it good value for the money.

You really get your moneys worth with this tour! Our amazing tour guide led us into the morbid Hollywood underworld, showed us some famous Hollywood landmarks and cracked a hilariously distasteful joke or two on the way. The tour is gorey enough for lovers of horror and crime, but not too gorey for kids 12 and up. It was a morbidly magical time :)

I was so excited to go on the tour. We learned and saw some cool stuff, but I felt our tour guide was more interested in getting a tip and making himself the focus of the tour then the deaths, scandals, murders and mysteries we were meant to be exploring. The website stated "over 100 locations".... if that is the case, I missed them. I felt there was potential for something awesome. Don't get me wrong, some good moments, but it lacked a through line and consistency. I wished the tour focused more on murders, deaths and mysteries and allowed you to explore locations and sites of the events. I walked away saying "that wasn't really what was advertised... damn."

Went on this tour again, because my husband heard me talk about how much I liked it when I had been on it. Brian was great (as one suspects he always is) and made the tour interesting for those of us who had seen it before and for those who had never been on it. Highly recommend for anyone interested in LA history and lore. Brian knows where all the dead bodies are as well as fascinating tidbits about famous people you've seen on tv and movies.

Brian Donnelly is an excellent tour guide who goes the extra mile to entertain and inform his bus-load of all the nifty facts about his topic!! I wish Scott and he the best in their future endeavors!!

We couldn't have asked for a more knowledgable and enthusiastic tour guide. I reviewed several other tour companies with very mixed reviews on their tour guides. Brian is the best of the best so we highly recommend Dearly Departed Tours and would go again when we have out of town guests in the future.

Loved seeing all of the locations where movies were shot, loved the background and history as well. Brian was a great tour guide, he really knows his stuff! Super-duper comfortable, A/C vehicle. Very much recommend!

If you only have time or money for 1 tour, you'll definitely want to take this tour. The guide Brian was so much fun & he was very knowledgable! He loves LA and it shows! This tour was quick (2 1/2 hours) & packed full of information. We even saw Simon Cowell's house & Sandra Bullock's too. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone except those of you with small children.

Tour was great, Richard was great! I just wish there was more time to take pictures. Just stopping longer to take pictures from the van. I know letting people out of the van at every stop would be to time consuming.

I've been a fan of findadeath for a while so when I moved to L.A. I knew I was going to go on this tour. We went on the 12:30 and we were the only ones. We were able to see more on the tour than the usual because we were alone. It was great! We saw so many stars houses alive and dead! Richard our tour guide was enthusiastic and knew a lot of what Hollywood was like and is like now. I didn't want the tour to end! I wish it was longer. Next tour I will be enjoying is the Manson. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to know the morbid part of Hollywood.

My partner and I had limited time in Hollywood. This was our first visit and, having noted the tours while visiting Findadeath.com, knew this was a must-do. Our guide was prompt. As soon as the William Frawley site was pointed out, I knew it was the right tour. We both agreed it could have been longer, tho maybe only for enthusiasts like us. It helped us see some of Beverly Hills, Sunset Strip and other areas in a timely manner, more efficient than on our own. Though partial to the Silent and Golden Age, Iwas also happy to see the Janis Joplin, River Phoenix and Chris Brown sites, a good historical spectrum. Your format, with folders to consult during the trip, was effective. I'd check into your tours on a future trip.
