This tour is amazing! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is a little morbidly curious like me and my friends are. They take you to some really cool places and the tour was very informative. I learned a lot and had a good time. The tour guide was hilarious and made the trip even more enjoyable. I'll be back to take the Helter Skelter tour in the future!

I was really interested in this tour since I love everything involving crime scene / investigations / crazy deaths. Weird, I know! I expected more. Since we don't get off the tour and just drive by and park near these types of sites, it would be great to have more effects. Example: When going by the corner where Willliam Frawley collapsed and his nurse took him into the Knickerbocker hotel and William Frawley breathed his last under the multi million dollar chandelier - it would be great to have a quote from his most popular character (Fred Mertz on I Love Lucy) something like the I love lucy theme song and fred mertz saying "Hey, you can go now. " . And then maybe on the TV or in the binder they give you, have a copy of the Obituary Desi Arnaz had printed for William Frawley. The driver was ANNOYING. YES he loves his job (or so he says). Every now and then we heard "I like happy stuff, this is sad stuff (referring to the stories and locations of death)".... there is a reason I paid for this tour and it wasn't to see the happy stuff. We randomly started driving down lanes to see celebrity homes. Again, that's not what I paid for. I have no interest in seeing where some celebrity named Paula lives and you know she's home when you see paparazzi lined up in her front yard - I don't care because that's not what I came here to see. Based on the description of the tour provided on the website, I expected more backstories. I didn't learn anything I didn't learn online already. I learned more from the recording of the owner that the driver played than the driver himself. The driver was ALL OVER THE PLACE in his explanation and would get distracted very easily. I expected more stories about what a certain person was doing before they died and anything interesting happen after they died. Where they went before they reached their murder location. Who murdered them and why they were murdered. Images of the crime scene if they have it. Famous quote or description of who the person was in case some people don't know a certain celebrity since many of these were famous decades ago. At some point during the tour the driver said "he's in the mood" and only does this "once every few months" and decided to take us on a tour of the houses especially his favorite ones - really this is not what I came on this tour for. So after a while I zoned him out and was just admiring all the houses.

Do not be afraid...this tour was the best tour of the Hollywood area. History on Stars and Celebrities old and new. Good background info and pictures to go along with the tour. Fast paced and fun. Even the gory details were informative. Fun for all....but leave the children home.

I love tours. I didnt love this one. it was all right--the driver's patter was by rote. nothing alive in it but hey, i suppose its tough to say the same thing a billion times. ask any good stage actor. our tour had locals and out of towners. tour guide was a good driver, but rawther arrogant. i know, funny, right? tour driver arrogance. i did attempt to engage though, and asked a question abt a celeb death. "not on this tour," he said sharply. i wasnt sure if that meant i didnt pay for the info or..? but within moments he was saying to an overly silent van, "feel free to ask any questions!" funny, no one did. why would they when the one questioner was quashed? driver also said, in an oh-so rehearsed way, "hey we hv a little extra time, wanna see some places not on reg tour?" because, u know, that leads him to the later request for tips. 49. a ticket plus a tip? um, no. there are def interesting factoids and places--most of it is really dated though. some of the celebs talked abt are not even known any more. there is almost nothing abt celebs from the last 20 years. i didnt see anyone tip the tour guide at the end if tour as he waited next to van step.

I cannot recommend this tour highly enough, it was just that good! We had the most amazing, friendly, funny tour guide, Brian, who knew everything there is to know about Hollywood's dearly departed and this made for a great couple of hours. We saw where Janis Joplin, James Belushi, Michael Jackson and River Phoenix (just to name a few) died and had a bit of a celebrity homes tour also as we went through Hollywood and Beverly Hills. During the tour you are played audio and read through a folder provided, giving details about each crime etc that occurred in the location you are looking at. We had such a great time on this tour that if I am ever in Hollywood again, I will be doing this tour again! If you are thinking about it - stop! Just book it - you won't be disappointed! A great, great tour and if Brian is your guide, you are in for a funny, funny couple of hours! Just loved it!

Both the owner and our tour guide were super friendly and knowledgeable. There's a cool display of memorabilia in the office to peruse while waiting for the tour to start. Our tour guide has been giving and training tours for many years, so is very entertaining, knowledgeable and the entire experience was a lot of fun. I was very glad I went and would recommend this tour to all.

Very atmospheric and well informed. The Guide (Scott) knew his stuff, and the sixties music added authenticity. A truly memorable experience that I would highly recommend.
