Whale Watching in Blue Whale Season (May - Nov)

This is an awesome ocean experience! We saw dolphins and Minke Whales!! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see ocean mammals up close!! We will return again next year!! The ocean line is very accommodating and the crew are fantastic! This adventure was the highlight of our vacation in California!!

We were disappointed as we did not see anything. It was cool and rainy and the crew did their best to find signs of life. Turned into a two hour boat ride only. The company offered everyone another free ride within a year as long as we kept our ticket and called prior to coming to the dock to make sure they were not full. This was a very nice gesture as we did not expect it. We knew going in that this type of venture is a risk. The crew was friendly and everything ran on time. Although disappointed that we did not see anything, I feel the company did a great job trying to rectify that. It was a nice surprise. It was our last day so it did us no good. I would have been more upset had I paid full price.

My daughters and I had only a short visit to the area. We found this trip on line and knew the cruise time fit our schedule. The tour departed on time. We enjoyed the crews discussion of the wild life. We saw no whales but many dolphins.

The crew was nice and knowledgable. They tried really hard to find whales but no luck. We did get to see several dolphins, some sea lions and a giant sun fish so the trip wasn't a total bust. The boat was clean and it was great to get out on the Pacific. Our tour was on July 5th at 5:00...we froze our butts off. I would recommend wearing a heavy jacket and long pants.

We went out saturday evening at 5pm on the Dana Pride. We saw a huge pod of common dolphins that surrounded the boat. Also saw a pod of bottle nosed dolphins but the best part of the trip was seeing a blue whale. We spent 30 or more minutes observing him. Incredible once in a lifetime trip. Our grand kids cant stop talking about it

We were advised via the website that this was not the season for whales. Since my children were more interested in seeing dolphins, that was a non-issue. Saw bottlenose and common dolphins. Captain was very informative and the ride was smooth. The kids had a great time, and it was fun watching their excitement with the dolphins.

TOOK MY WIFE, HER MOTHER AND MYSELF ON A WHALE WATCHING RIDE WHILE IN DANA POINT. THE BOAT WAS VERY CLEAN, THE CREW VERY FRIENDLY AND WE DID GET TO SEE A WHALE AND QUITE A FEW DOLPHINS. WOULD RECOMMEND THE TWO HOURS RIDE JUST FOR THE ENJOYMENT OF THE BOAT RIDE.

We didn't see any whales, but saw a bunch of dolphins. I was disappointed about the whales, however the crews' knowledge of the dolphins was very extensive. I felt that we should have gotten a future discount ticket or something since we didn't see whales.

I had family visiting so it was a spur of the moment decision to go. Everyone had a great time - so relaxing - We enjoyed the dolphins - this is a great memory maker!
