Whale Watching in Blue Whale Season (May - Nov)

The ride out to sea was really awesome. A deep respect for seafarers and all the marine life we need to protect was gained. I'd recommend this experience to everyone.

We were nervous at first, Dana Point was one of the cheapest charters in the area. The experiance was definitly more than we expected. Thanks to a great crew and the help and attitude they gave. When we return I won't even bother looking for another deal, I'm headed for Dana Point!

Teh crew was a lot of fun and we saw a lot of dolphins. Cold Beverages. This isa trip for all ages. Looking forward to going again!

My parents were out for a visit and it was first time out on pacific ocean. It was fun for them, we were disappointed, that we did not see whales. The dolphins were about 10 miles out.

Captain's knowledge was great. Plus, you could actually understand the loudspeaker (which is a first!) We did not see a whale, but we saw hundreds of dolphins, right next to the boat. Sad about the whale, but the captain could not have been better, plus they gave us the whale ticket to come back and try again another time. Highly recommend. My kids loved just the boat experience, and the dolphins were unbelievable.

We looked for a specific whale, saw it twice, and saw another once. Didn't see dophins at all. I assumed we'd see more animals, but it might have been the time of the day (5pm.) All in all at least we saw something, and the boat was nice.

Not too long, not too short - perfect for young children. You might want bring a strong lens if you plan to take good pictures. It was in the middle of summer which was great because it tends to be about 15 degrees cooler on the water. Get your cameras ready because there were quite a few that made appearances.

We lucked out and seen alot of whales and on out tour date and had fun.

We saw at least a half dozen individual blue whales with possible mating behavior of a whale rolling on its side with another whale. This was my third whale watching trip, first time with Dana Wharf. It exceeded my expectation because I actually saw whales, let alone blue whales whereas with other boats we saw only dolphins and maybe a couple of blowholes. This was highly active time in their feeding cycle, and blue whales were in the news at Dana Point, so it was good timing. Boat staff and captain seemed knowledgeable and cordial.

Saw plenty of dolphins and 2 blue whales -- they took us out and came in about 30 minutes late so we could be sure to see the 2 whales close up. Great company.
