Awesome trip!!

We booked this trip figuring we would see just dolphins. We actually got more than we expected. A blue whale!! The whale surfaced many times. What a great experience to see such a magnificent creature! Would recommend this trip even if all you saw was dolphins. Can't wait until our next trip! Thanks Dana Wharf!

The whale watching cruise was fantastic. We not only saw blue whales, but we also saw dolphins, shark, and a pilot whale. Ride was smooth. Had a great time!

Overall a fun trip - we saw dolphins, sharks, and two whales which was more than we expected - so overall a success. The only criticisms of the trip would be the recommendation to get there at LEAST a half hour early as the trip leaves on time - because we stood on the dock for 45 minutes before boarding the boat, only to then depart 20 minutes late (which was expressly stated on the tickets that the trips depart ON TIME) and then stood on the ship for another 2 1/2 hours beyond that. If you are going to insist that participants arrive so early that they must stand and wait to board, you need to leave on time. The boats would be improved if there was also some limited amount of seating available. The crew was great, however, and the naturalist who spoke about the wildlife was knowledgeable and informative. Despite our frustration with the beginning portion of the adventure, I would definitely still recommend for the price. We also arrived back to port an hour later than the booking information stated, which was not a problem for us, but could have been if we had plans beyond the trip. Something to consider.

Blue Whale and dolphins sighted!
Tue, Sep 1  5:00 PM ctudor Male 40-49 International Tourist(s) Family With Children
Very well organised trip, spacious boat with plenty of seating. 10 dolphins were swimming very close to the boat and we saw a blue whale swimming with its calf .We then sighted another very large blue whale and several sealions. The whole family had a great time and there was sufficient space on the boat for everybody to have a good view.

My husband and I along with out two children(6 & 8) took the whale watching trip on Tuesday from 5-7. The boat trip and the scenery was amazing. The first half hour we did not see anything and then we spooted a pod of dolphins jumping and swiming right up to our boat. There must have been at least 20 of them. Then we spotted a blue whale. The captain steered the boat so we could get fairly close to him. He came up 4 times and we saw his tail out of the water twice. It was amazing. The crew member also gave alot of information on whales. Would definitely recommend the toup and on Tuesday they offer a discount.

Everyone should do this at least once

We had such a great time on our whale watching trip. We went out there expecting to see nothing, so as not to get our hopes up, and we ended up seeing so much! First, a huge pod of dolphins zooming all around the boat. Second a blue whale (wow!!) which we followed for a good half hour. Third, a buoy covered in sea lions. My kids were thrilled and even 3 days later can't stop talking about it. For some constructive criticism, the only thing I wished was different is when the Blue Whale was directly in front of the boat, the only people that could really see it were the 5 or so people standing in the very front. There was no way to see around them or over them. I wish the captain had angled the boat just a little bit so that everyone along the sides could have seen too. I mean we did still see the whale, but we really had to strain and stand on tippy toes to see over people...and it was really tough for my kids to see. Anyway, that was a minor complaint. It was a wonderful trip. The weather was perfect, the marine life was phenomenal, and the sunset was a gorgeous finale. I definitely plan to do this a bunch more times with my family. You can't beat $15 a person on Tuesday!

Blue whales are cool!

We saw lots of dolphins for the first hour, which was okay, but we were there to look for whales. After 1 hour had passed, the captain went in whale searching mode and found a big blue what that was quite far away. He pulled up to where he thought it might surface, and it came up really close to the boat. We followed the whale for 30 minutes and got lots of good views of blows and his tale. I have seen other whales before, but the blue whale is something special.

'thar she blows!'

We had a good time during this short cruise. I didn't expect to see any whales as it's not the high season for whale watching. We were able to follow two blue whales and enjoyed the captain's exclamations of 'thar she blows!'. we also so 10+ dolphins and were delighted when they would ride up along side the boat. Overall a good trip.

As a teacher, thought the explanations about sea life were informative.
