Timing is everything

We were supposed to depart at 5:00PM but the boat was late returning from it's previous fishing expedition. It is not really romantic to watch people rush off the boat with their fishing poles and then see the crew wash off the "fishiness" while you're waiting dockside with your date for your evening cruise. But I will say that the boat was clean (though still slightly damp) and the captain was very informative and helpful in our evening whale watching expedition. I think it was worth the trip but if you're on a date you might want to find something with more romance and less Eau de Fish :-)

This was the best money I spent on the entire trip. Was a wonderful experience enjoyed by everyone on board. The crew of the cruise were great...very friendly...interacting with all and very helpful.

Overall this was a very nice trip. The ship was nice, we had nice weather so it wasn't freezing when we were out in the ocean. We did not see any whales, which, of course, was disappointing, but I can't really blame the crew for that! We did see sea lions within the first few minutes and we saw dolphins a couple times. The crew was friendly and helpful on board and informative. Seeing the dolphins in their natural habitat and so up close was amazing! My 12-year old son declared "this is better than Sea World!". We booked our trip for 1/2 price Tuesday, so we got a really good deal on the trip. Our trip was cancelled for Tuesday, but the company easily rescheduled us for Thursday at our request and kept the same 1/2 price agreement--so that was great! There were only about 15 people on this huge ship, so it was far from crowded--double nice!! Overall, we would do it again.

Excellent first experience for my visiting niece

My niece and her children were visiting from Albuquerque, New Mexico and this was the first boat trip for any of them. It was thrilling for them to have the experience of riding the ocean as well as seeing the dolphins, whales and sea lions. Truly a great memory for them and me.

Nice trip

The boat captain was professional, courteous, knowledgable, and dedicated. We did find a whale to look at and that was exciting for someone who has never seen one before. The boat ride alone was a great way to pass the time. So even if we hadn't found a whale, the ride was nice. The price was not out of line. My wife and my son had a good time too. My wife did have one complaint. According to the trip description, brownies were supposed to have been handed out but we didn't get any.

Awesome outing!

Loved this trip, even though it was only 2 hours. Saw blue whales, fin whales, dolphins, and some sea lions. Was a lot of fun, had beautiful views of the Pacific, was exciting to try to spot animals and then race the boat over to where they were, etc. We really enjoyed this trip, although one of us did get seasick so if you have someone with a sensistive stomach this might not be the best trip for them as the ship & speeds make for a choppy, rocking ride sometimes! Otherwise, good price, a lot of fun, and a unique experience!

Great sunset cruise
Mon, Oct 19, 09   4:00 PM DGruel Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
We saw one blue whale...way, way in the distance, and the crew tried really hard to "catch it" before it made a dive, but didn't succeed. We had a wonderful run with a huge pod of dolphins though...a great experience. The crew was very jovial and accommodating. I would recommend, even if you don't see a whale!!

Nice sunset cruise

Saw sea lions. Did not see anything else. gorgeous sunset view. Would maybe go earlier as we were cold. Web site said that if we did not get to see dolphins or whales, would get a $10 coupon for next trip. We were not offered that. Could tell the guys tried really hard to spot something. They said the whales were not seen in this area yet so wondered why this was advertised as a whale watching adventure. Felt somewhat misled on that. Overall good we went, saw the beautiful coastline and the sunset.
