Crew was wonderful and the vessel wasn't crowded. We stayed with a huge pod of dolphins for about an hour...it was fabulous.

This was our second time on the whale watching excursion. Fantastic we saw a large pod of dolphiins well over 1000. We visit our daughter and son in-law and make a yearly trip. We definitely will be back!!! Robin & Leonard Koci Topeka, KS

I took my wife on this tour and while we only caught brief views of the whales just interacting with the dolphins was worth it. Chad and Zack were very friendly and very helpful. Chad knows how to get the dolphins excited which makes for great action photos. They tried so hard to give us a better look at the gray whales and we appreciate it.

The crew was fantastic. The boat was clean and comfortable. The number of passengers was very manageable. The dolphins were playful and the whales were very accommodating! A wonderful adventure all around!

This is the third Whalewatching adventure i've been on this past month and was by far the BEST! In addition to the excellent weather - we lucked out-- dana wharf's catamaran is a great way to sail! This adventure, being an hour longer than the other tour (which is also great!) gave us more time to get to where we could see the grey whales. The dolphin love swimming in front of the boat and are incredibly fast! I think both tours are excellent but if you can afford the extra expense and extra hour for the catamaran cruise it is quite worthwhile. Hope to go back out again very soon! Thanks!!

I'm tempted not to write a great review for the simple fact that I don't want the secret to get out! :) The Catamaran is the way to go if you want to get on the water and do some whale watching or sightseeing. I plan on several trips this year, and did several trips last year. It's smooth, it has the capability to move faster if you spot something and want to get there quicker, and the best part? You're not elbow to elbow like you are on the fishing boats. There's a 30-something person max which guarantees you a super comfortable trip! And, the captains are incredibly knowledgeable! If there's something to find that day, you can be sure they will find it. Nothing better than a day on this boat, some groovy reggae tunes, sun, and the big blue ocean!

The trip it self was awesome. Saw about 5-6 gray whales, bunch of dolphins and sea lions, even saw a huge sun fish outta no where! Bright sunny day fun boat ride my girlfriend was afraid to walk anywhere and that was perfect. But the descripition says a close encounter with the sea life as you watch swim below you in our special observation deck.... I thought that meant a glass floor like just a square... nope they mean front of the boat... WOo hoo lol any boat has a front. And the prices are insane for food and drinks but thats not a surprise.

Worth the extra $20.00

You can go cheaper but you wont find a better crew or boat. No diesel smell, quiet, smooth, not crowded, nice selection in the galley, grilled cheese smelled great! Crew was knowledgeable, pleasant, and worked hard to get us to see whales, dolphin, and even found us a rare sunfish! I will use them again. I gladly tipped them after the tour. Don't forget to ask for a parking pass at check-in - no parking ticket worries if your tour runs long.

We have been on 5 cruise ships and a lot of adventures. This was by far the best one we have taken, We look forward to returning every year to enjoy this adventure. We were excited about the trip but seeing a whale within 15 minutes a large male and following it for an hour plus end up in the middle of over 100 dolphins all around us. We took plenty of great pictures. We also were up close to a number of sea lions. An unforgettable adventure!

We had the continental breakfast/lecture first. Then, the time on the water was nice. We had pleasant weather which made it perfect. And, we actually saw a whale for a bit. There was a huge pod of dolphins and several sea lions. The boat was nice with some snacks and beverages. It was an experience worth doing at least one time in ones life.
