Catamaran Adventure Whale Watching Cruises

Good captains on the boat put us right on the whales only problem on Rhenish was that the front was overfilled

Crew went to a lot of trouble to find us a whale; however, the front of the boat was not big enough for everyone to have a spot at the rail. For those of us on the side or back of the boat there wasn't a whole lot to see since every time a whale was signted, they always turned the boat so that only those in front could really see it. It would have been nice if they occasionally positioned the boat so that others could see the whales better, rather than just those lucky enough to find a place at the front.

We both had so much fun on the 2 hour trip. We ended up seeing 2 big dolphin groups, a couple minke whales and 2 blue whales. It was so much fun and I think we will be going 2 times a year now. It was a wonderful experience with everyone on board participating in the search and sightings of whales. I had such a fun time I wish I could go EVERY day!!

Nice catamaran, great crew, not over crowded, saw an amazing Blue Whale, Minke Whale and a bunch of dolphins - what a great day! Thank you!

I brought my daughter and two of her friends along to see if we could spot any whales. None of us have ever seen a whale before. About 4 miles out, we were delighted to see a blue whale. He/she was a magnificent creature and it was wonderful to watch the whale come up every 3-5 minutes and exhale from his blowholes. He was approximately 85 feet long (per the Captain) and it was hard to imagine that if he dove down too fast, he could hit the bottom since the water was only 240 feet deep. The crew were friendly and shared their knowledge of baleen whales, which was a great learning experience for the kids. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to any one. First, the crew was friendly, conversational, and knowledgable. We left the harbor and they explained the process they would go through to find whales. On three different occasions we ran in to dolphins but the whales. First we saw and followed a blue whale. While waiting for the blue whale to surface a minke whale crossed our bow. After numerous close sitings of the blue whale we headed in only to cross paths with either a large minke whale (or more likley a fin whale). What a day - we may have been lucky that day but the crew added to the experience - I highly recommend it.

I am from Laguna Niguel and had my friends in from Chicago and Detroit. We did the Whale Watching Cruise and saw an 80' blue whale, the smallest whale (can't remember the name), sea lions and schools of dolphins. It was a fabulous day and the crew was wonderful.

I went on the 2:00 catamaran whale watching cruise last Saturday (July 24th) and it was AWESOME!!! The men running the boat were knowledgeable and friendly. We were super lucky and saw a blue whale, a minke whale, a huge pod of dolphins, a sun fish, and of course sea lions. The captain of the ship said it was VERY special to have seen all that we did, and that normally they don't see so much. Overall, it was a wonderful time for the whole family. We plan on making it an annual trip!
