1/2 Day Fishing Trip with my son

| We took the later 1/2 day trip, which left at 10:00 am. We got there early and were the first in line, therefore we got the first choice of fishing spots on the boat. We enjoyed the fishing trip, because it was a beautiful day and we were catching fish. The crew was good, because as soon as fishing died at 1 location we quickly moved to the next spot. We were not disappointed at the catch, although we would have been happier with more fish. The highlite of the trip was when one of the passengers caught a Halibut that weighed in at 27 lbs (biggest I've seen). The 1/2 day trip was just long enough time for me to fish and enjoy the scenery. I would recommend this trip. |

| The 1/2 day trip included a good number of locals or regulars who the deck hands seemed to enjoy chatting with and the deck hands spent a lot of time fishing themselves. I dont really care if they do fish, but when one of the passengers catches a fish they should be available to assist with taking the fish off the hook and putting in their bags. The fishing was poor and it would be recommended to rotate the fishing times at the back of the boat so that all would get equal time at the best fishing spot from the boat while backed into the kelp beds. The boat was clean and the galley provided good food and service. In summary the 1/2 day experience would be graded Average at best. |

| We would have liked to go farther out to find more fishing potential. Didn't catch much worth keeping. Maybe the boat needs a Fishfinder. |

| This was my first fishing trip (but my son's 3rd) and we thought it was a good trip. The price was great, the food on the boat was great, and we met some nice people. I liked the way they rotated the fishers so that you got to fish from different parts of the boat. Also, liked that they went to different locations for more opportunities to catch something. (My son caught 5 fish!) If I would change anything it would be to start and end the trip earlier in the day. Although it says it's a half-day trip, it's from 10-3 so your day is pretty much tied up considering that you need to get there by 9 and may not get back to your destination until 4. And I would probably lessen the # of people that go on a single trip. Lines were getting tangled and there was little more than elbow room so not much room to really cast. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend it. |

| I know you can't control the weather.
We caught 5 fish for the entire boat.
The trip was fun. Seeing the dolphins and sea lions.
Won't go after a Kid Clinic again. Way to many kids on boat.
Wish we would of caught something.
Otherwise nice day.
Good value. |

| The Dana Wharf crew treats all passengers like a guest at a 5-star resort. They are patient with the children and helpful to everyone on their boats, regardless of their level of experience. And the Galley food is always great! |

| May 30th was a pretty cold day. And we dont know that c that was first time for us to go fishing. I dont recommend this to family with younger kid like us. |

| The captain and crew were very friendly and helpful with our fishing lines whenever we caught a fish or the lines got tangled. The food on board was great as well. If you take a date she has no where to go for 5 hours...she's stuck on the boat. :) J/k...it was a fun trip for us. |
