Lackluster, Avoid 1/2 Day Trip

| I am an avid fisherman from the SF Bay Area. I own a fishing boat and am out on the bay at least once a week. I was attending a friends wedding in SoCal and tried to fit in a fishing trip.
I've been on this trip two times. The first time we caught many fish, but the crew was pompous and distant. To avoid that experience, I tried to plan a trip out of San Diego but time constraints necessitated we leave from Dana Harbor again. This time the crew was great, but fishing was terrible (not their fault). The captain drove around the coast for over an hour "scouting" for bass. On a 1/2 day trip it’s just not worth the time (they are in the kelp beds!).
I don't know about the longer trips (I hope they are better), but my recommendation is to avoid the half day trip. I've been disappointed twice. |

| The boat crew was fantastic, both in attitude and help. My son and I learn more about fishing in this one charter than over the last ten years. We caught 10 fish between us including, (2) Barracuda's!, Calico Bass, Sand Bass, Rock Fish and a Scorpion Fish! We were a little worried with the low price but I will no longer look any where else, when we come back we're headed for Dana Point! |

| This is a definite fun time. Fish were biting, crew was fantastic, cheeseburgers with onions were amazing! Dana Pride, George and crew thank you for a great trip! |

| Is there anyway that we can park first at the designated parking lot then came into the tackle shop to get the actual parking permit then return to the car with the displayed parking permit? |

| My son-in-law and I had a great time on our 5 hour trip. The staff were great and Chris (the Captain) runs a good ship. Everything was clean, the burgers freshly prepared on board were excellent.
Caught plenty of fish, although the big one got away (don't they always??)
Excellent value for money. We will do this at least one's per month. |

| I took my son (12) and daughter (8) on the early morning trip and we all had a great time. The crew were very friendly and helpful.
There is lots to eat and drink offered on board but, as you would expect, it was rather expensive. Bring along your own picnic lunch and save some money.
I would highly recommend this as a great family outing. |

| It was our first time fishing from a boat and my girlfriend loved it. The crew was very helpful and they were very polite. I will definitely do it again. |
