Fishing was good on our twilight trip, it would have been lots better with anchovies for bait, we had 90 % large sardines. And the 13 inch Calico bass in general were not large enough to swallow a large sardine. The Crew on the Clementine was good and very helpful. The bass readily went after the few chovies we had. |

My son (15) went with 2 friends. They got 4 fish between the 3 of them and 1 was a mackerel. Captain should have known better locations to go to. |

Went out on a 10 O'Clock trip on the Clemente, and it was great. Fishing had been marginal due to water temps being low, but a warm week leading up to Thursday had helped bump it up a bit, and the fishing was better than expected.
Captain did a great job of getting us on a rock South of the pier, and it produced for several hours, with Rockfish, Sheephead, Calico's and Sand Bass. Fish were biting on squid, shrimp and live Chovies. Once this spot cooled off we headed back North for a few minutes and fished a rock with a lot of kelp, flylining Anchovies for Calico bass, and we hit quite a few. It was really fun, and just about the whole boat had something in their bags by then.
Saw a few pods of dolphin, a few seals interested in a quick snack, jellyfish and so on.
Crew did a great job of helping with snagged lines, bagging fish and grilling up some awesome grilled cheese sandwiches and killer cheeseburgers. All in all a really nice day.
I've been fishing out of Dana Wharf SF for 20+ years, and as always, they have experienced Captains, great crew, and they know where to go to get you hooked up. And they're friendly too........
One thing to remember is that you can't park in the lot adjacent to the DWSF office anymore, as it has a four hour limit on that lot now, so you have to go check in at the office, get a parking pass, and then move your vehicle to the long term lot which is further away. So don't lug all your gear to the office, only to find out like I did that you have to go move your car. :( |

The fishing trip was mainly for my grandaughter. The Captain and mates were very friendly and attentive to the clients. They made sure that everything was anailable at all times. The fish I caught they immediately handled them once they were in the boat and stowed them to be cleaned after the trip. However, the water temperature was out of the Captains control, and that made for tough fishing. He announced that the colder water stifles the fish appetite. He tried 6 different holes, though. He put forth a tremendous effort to try and connect. I caught two keepers, and that was the most keepers on the boat. My grandaughter caught one (undersize) but that made the whole trip worthwhile. That was her first fish caught. To her it was a 2000# billfish!! Now let me also give kudos to the staff at the tackle shop. We were running late due to an accident(not ours!) on I-5. Donna was fantastic in making sure we would be all set as soon as we got there! She helped us go quickly from the shop to the boat with only a minute to spare. Thanks again Donna. You helped us pull it off! Even though the fishing was tough, we had a great time, and I would highly recommend it to a family with children. |

Few fish caught, but nice day for a cruise. Crew was friendly and professional. We had a group of 10 adults and boy scouts from Lake Arrowhead, Ca. and all had fun. |

My friends and I were VERY disappointed. We fished just off the beach from our condo and I have done better fishing in the small ponds where I live. We really should have been informed of just how bad the fishing was before we purchased tickets. Also noted that they kept very small fish in order to make days count look good. No fish over 18 inches were caught for anyone on our boat. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. |

It would have been preferable if there were places to sit. It was hard for us to stand for 5 hours. |
