1/2 Day and Twilight Fishing Trips

I went on a morning half day with my 11-year old son. We spent the weekend together while mom was away with her girlfriends, so I asked him what he'd like to do..."Fishing!" The crew was friendly and helpful. Lots of fish caught, but most undersized. Still loads of fun. Apparently the cold water is keeping the catch lower than normal, but it didn't detract from our enjoyment. Breakfast is available on board, but I'm not too sure about the cook's kitchen habits...help with the boat, fry some bacon, help with the boat, make a breakfast burrito...you get it.

My husband and myself try to go ocean fishing atleast one time a month. Our favorite boat is Sum Fun. We usually catch some fish and the captain and crew is great. Very polite and knowledgeable. I would recommend Dana Wharf Fishing to anyone.

My son had a wonderful time. The crew was very friendly and helpful.

We all had a great time on the boat. The crew was very helpful coming to our aid with fishing rods, jammed reels, lost weights and hooks. It was so nice being out on the water and seeing the coastline. In addition we saw wonderful marine life during our trip. We had a great day.

there were not many fish caught base they said on weather what was caught was very small

I and the grandkids had a good time despite no fish being caught. Water was unseasonably cold and they weren't biting. A little more attentiveness from the crew would have been nice. It's hard to rig and bait three kid's poles when you, yourself aren't quite sure how to rig one up.

THE FISHING TRIP WAS ADVERTISED TO BE FROM 5 :30 TO 10:30 BUT WE WERE BACK AT THE DOCK AT 9:30 ONE HOUR SHORT OTHER WISE IT WAS OK

We were given rental poles in the office that were a problem for the boys to use. Open spinners...they tangled constantly...The captain came down and saw them tangled once and said to the boys "Why the hell did you rent these polls if you don't know how to use them." We used live bait that was say too big to catch anything. The only ones catching fish were using their own tackle. I would have purchased lures in the shop if someone had advised me to do it. On the boat we were given instruction by the other fisherman not the crew. After a snag once my son's line snapped and the crew member helping him walked away....so my son then had to run him down to replace his tackle. At first we were yelled instructions to fish on the top above the kelp...and then later we were told to fish down deeper...without any instruction or help changing tackle. Crew was friendly just unhelpful. Galley was fine...good food pretty good service. Three of us caught nothing.

The captain and crew did a great job finding the right spots and making the time enjoyable for everyone. When the fishing got hot, the crew was as attentive as when the fishing slowed down. I recommend Dana Wharf Fishing!

I went with my sister inlaw we had a nice time everyone was real helpfull. The only thing I didn't care for was one crew member smoked and one passinger always seemed to have a cigerette in her mouth. Have no smoking trips!
