Pelicans, Pelicans everywhere!!

Beautiful day, nice conditions...with exception of the Pelicans that would not leave us alone! The crew spent much of their time pulling hooks from the annoying pests. The jackpot fish was a small sand bass. The crew did a great job of trying to get us into a better spot, but the birds were relentless. Too bad the Pelicans didn't count towards the jackpot! I like this trip because I can bring my 10-year old son. People should know that the 12:45 boat is full of kids. If they don't like it, then they can book an earlier or later trip. I'll be back for a twilight trip on Labor Day!

Just Okay, Not Great

We recently went out for a 1/2, which my family ended up calling the "mackerel" fishing trip, since that's pretty much all we caught. I was a bit disappointed to say the least. The two deck hands were okay, nothing great and the skipper seemed to be more interested in catching his own fish. I realize not every trip is going to be a home run, but I have to wonder about the fish counts they're putting up, as the count on this trip was pretty bad.

The Battle with the Pelicans

Good fun with my son. I didn't expect to have so much trouble with the birds staged next to the boat ready to take your bait, along with your hook as soon as you try to put it in the water. The deck hands were good at pulling the birds, mostly pelicans, up and removing the hook. The crew was helpful and the beer cold.

The crew was very helpful to my 14 year old daughter and I. The fish werent going crazy due to water temps but everyone on the boat caught some so the day wasnt a zero. We will go back later in the season when the water is warmer.

We had a great time but probably won't go again on the 25 dollar evening. Shoulder to shoulder people. Too crowded. I suggest you have 25% percent less people. Or have limits. We did catch fish though.

I have been on the 1/2 day excursions over a dozen times and have always enjoyed it. weekends can be a bit crowded (hard to move around) recommend during the week. But what ever day you choose you will have a great time. Even if your not lucky enough to catch a fish or two, just being out in the ocean for awhile is worth the trip.
