1/2 Day and Twilight Fishing Trips

A great time was had by all even though the fishing was slowest I have ever seen.

No baiting

Took my grandson (18) on his first ever ocean fishing trip. We were on the Clemente 1/2 day boat. The crew was great helping with tangles and hooked fish. My grandson seems now hooked on fishing saltwater. Said he had a great time. Fishing started off a little slow as we were fishing on the starboard side. Took us 3 rotations before we were near the stern which is the best place to fish, especially if you are anchored and we were. We caught all but 2 of our fish near the stern. We caught maybe 12 fish; a combination of barracuda, calicos and sandbass. We had a very enjoyable time and he can't wait to go again. Only complaint was that we didn't do a rotation for about the first 2 hours on the boat and then did 3 in the last two or so hours. Rotations should have a regular time such as every 30 minutes or so to give everyone a chance to fish some at the stern. First rotation was at the request of a customer. And some SPECIAL fisherman fished the stern the entire time. That should not be allowed!

Not many fish caught, crew very friendly and helpful

It was very overcast with two seals following us at every stopr we made. The weather and the seals made for poor fishing, but just getting out with your friends and having a good time is a great way to go. The crew and captain were great. Had a great time.

All of the crew members were very helpful to all of the passengers.

Weather was cool with a slite overcast, but burned off on the way home. The crowd had many school age kids for it was summer, but they were delightful. Boat was full, but we managed. Fishing started off very slow, then after many stops to find them biteing on our last stop on our way home. This made the whole trip worth wile. I'm going again soon. Tiny the Clown

The boatride was great, but no fish.

A fishing Capitain that need a course in putlic relations and how to treat the public. For the half day price - the Capitain took us on a boat ride along the coast for about 25 minutes south never going greater than the deep of 30 to 35 feet. Stop and turn around and told every body to fish. After about 35 minutes with very few hook ups, He pull up anchor and went north for about 8 minutes. Two seals and 4 pelclins were with us and we were told to fish, for another 45 minutes to one hour, the result -very poor filshing. Everybody knows that with two seal around the boat, that the fish move out. The captain refused to rotate the position so everyone had a chance to fish from the back. We move for a third time up the coast toward the dock, another ten minute rideand stop to fish. Again the seals were with us at a depth of 30 feet. Made no effort or cared if he was providing service to his customers, just puting in his time be fore He would pick up the afternoon Suckers for another boat ride. I have deep sea fish in Souther California 50 years and this is the worst Fishing Captain I have ever fish with.

This was a fun family outing for 14 of us--all ages--13 to 79--.Don't know why, but our group was the only one with females?? Everyone enjoyed it --those that caught fish, enjoyed it more! The crew were very helpful and the burgers were good. I'd recommend it for sure. Nice people aboard
