The trip itself was great. The crue was fantastic. Could not ask for better. But... The girls at the check in store bad attitudes. Wanted to look at there phones instead of helping customers. It just seemed like we got in there way . One guy was in the store and he helped us out . Found out the hard way about needing a parking permit or you can get your car towed.

Fun

A very fun trip. Not many caught on the boat, but the few that did got some good sea bass. Make sure to bring cash on the boat with you. There are some extra stuff that you will need to buy once on the boat. Example: If you want to keep your catch you need to rent a fish bag for a buck. If you want to enter the daily boat derby $12. If you want your fish cleaned at the end of the trip is a buck per fish. Even with the few extras, it's more than worth it! Fun day out on the water even if you don't catch anything like me.

Love the Crew!

Fishing with the crew of the Sum Fun makes it easy for the novice fisherman to have a great time and catch fish with the best of them! This was my second trip with Dana Wharf Sportsfishing, and both trips have been amazing! I can't wait for our next time as we are planning another trip soon!

Terrific day with grandson. Never dull!

The crew was lot of fun and always available to help untangle lines, remove fish from hooks, and share tips. Dolphins followed the wake, gulls and pelicans were never far, sailboats were whipping nearby, a tall ship was seen at a distance and paddle boarders and surfers were closer to shore. Hayden, our 8 year old grandson caught a rockfish and we all agreed to return when the water was warmer.

I love fishing! There's isn't anything else I would love to do more. I was pleased and satisfied with trip. The staff was very nice and helpful. I will continue using them for fishing trips. I originally reserved the full day, but was cancelled due to lack of reservations, but fishing season is almost here so there won't be any problems filling spots.

pricy and little to no fish

We love fishing. We fish almost every weekend. We fish on a boat with the Dana Warf Sportfishing, about 1 to 3 times a year. We don't go that often with them because the total price is too much and fishing has been slow. The crew members are really nice and helpful. They taught us how to tie the hook on better with an easy, but strong knot. Some people catch big ones and even interesting ones. On these trips I have seen moray eels caught and even a large shovel nose guitar fish. We almost always see dolphins and sea lions. It's nice to be out there, but you may not get you money's worth. Some days of fishing are great, while other are not. I would suggest to just fish off of a pier you like best, you might have a better chance. We fish at San Clemente pier a lot. We hope fishing will be good for all people, so fishing on the boat might be worth it. Good luck fishing everyone, no matter where you fish, how you fish, or who your with.

Zerve is easy to use and no mistakes, as usual. Dana Wharf is friendly and helpful and speed, as usual. Sum Fun capt and crew are friendly, approachable and available for help, as usual. We fished 3 spots, but it was slow, but, hey, that's fishing!
