| It was a hot and fun day onthe boat and my kids had a good time being onthe boat . The sad side was the fishing was not great at all we only cought 1 fish on the trip , which dissapointed my kids and from going on again . so it's good to check the fish reports before you go , to see if the fish are biting . |

| It's always a pleasure to go out on the Twighlight trip with Dana Wharf Sportfishing. 4 hours is a perfect amount of time with children and/or folks trying out fishing for the first time. It's short enough that if it's not working out or you're getting seasick you'll be back soon enough but it's long enough to get some real fishing done. I've done this trip several times now (I think that this was my fourth) and for the first time my son fished the entire time instead of playing with the bait fish in the bait tank for the last part of the trip. He was a fisherman instead of a fisherman's son. We'll be thinking about a longer trip now but will still go out on this once in a while with newbies. The crew is great. The galley is great. You don't have to get up early in the morning to go. I recommend it. |

| I have been fishing out of Dana Point before; it was my friends (co-worker) first time fishing any where!! The boat was a bit crowded, but there is no way to control that, it turned out to be fine!!! The Captain and Crew were very helpful and took care of everyone on board, that's very important!! The day was really nice, however we didn't catch hardly a thing, I only caught a few fish and all were too small and had to be tossed back into the ocean. The jack pot winner was a very small fish!! I believe there were 55 people on board and all put their $5.00 in the jack pot, so the guy received a huge amount for a very small fish, nice going who ever that was!! Fishing for me is just Fun!! I have been fishing out of other docks and some places the Captain and crew have not been very friendly I do love being out at sea and just the whole idea of fishing!! I believe that if the Captain and Crew don't project that feeling of fun and friendliness it just isn't worth it at all. However on this day it was the contrary and the Captain and Crew made it fun so not catching any fish made it ok - Thank You So Very Much!!! I've been fishing other times when I have caught nothing so it was fine for me, I just felt bad for my friend!! However, she said she had a Great time, only because of the Captain and Crew and would go again (Me Too) even though she didn't catch anything!! After all that's why they call it fishing instead of catching!!!! |

| Captain had a bunch of rookies on board including his son who took the best spots on the boat.....paying for such a service should produce professional results. |

| Weather was cool with a slite overcast, but burned off on the way home.
The crowd had many school age kids for it was summer, but they were delightful.
Boat was full, but we managed. Fishing started off very slow, then after many stops to find them biteing on our last stop on our way home. This made the whole trip worth wile.
I'm going again soon.

| A fishing Capitain that need a course in putlic relations and how to treat the public. For the half day price - the Capitain took us on a boat ride along the coast for about 25 minutes south never going greater than the deep of 30 to 35 feet. Stop and turn around and told every body to fish. After about 35 minutes with very few hook ups, He pull up anchor and went north for about 8 minutes. Two seals and 4 pelclins were with us and we were told to fish, for another 45 minutes to one hour, the result -very poor filshing. Everybody knows that with two seal around the boat, that the fish move out. The captain refused to rotate the position so everyone had a chance to fish from the back. We move for a third time up the coast toward the dock, another ten minute rideand stop to fish. Again the seals were with us at a depth of 30 feet. Made no effort or cared if he was providing service to his customers, just puting in his time be fore He would pick up the afternoon Suckers for another boat ride.
I have deep sea fish in Souther California 50 years and this is the worst Fishing Captain I have ever fish with. |
