| Even though I ended up catching the "jackpot" fish and mind you, it was the last fish caught as the skipper was hoisting the anchor, the fishing should have been alot better. We were the last boat out the docks (7:00am) and lost valuable time fishing. We wasted too much time fishing in spots that had no fish. The bait was bigger than the fish we were catching. The skipper should have taken us to the "Kelp Patties" where there are always fish instead of wandering around. Even little fish that can be caught and thrown back will be a thrill for the kids on board this boat. SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE DAYS THAT "A BAD DAY OF FISHING IS BETTER THAN A GOOD DAY AT THE OFFICE". IT IS CALLED FISHING BUT WASTINGN TIME IS NOT MY IDEA OF A GOOD DAY FISHING. |

| Weather was cool with a slite overcast, but burned off on the way home.
The crowd had many school age kids for it was summer, but they were delightful.
Boat was full, but we managed. Fishing started off very slow, then after many stops to find them biteing on our last stop on our way home. This made the whole trip worth wile.
I'm going again soon.

| It was a hot and fun day onthe boat and my kids had a good time being onthe boat . The sad side was the fishing was not great at all we only cought 1 fish on the trip , which dissapointed my kids and from going on again . so it's good to check the fish reports before you go , to see if the fish are biting . |

Boat late to leave - Parking problems

| 12:00 boat did not leave untill 1:00 because according to captain customers could not find parking. There seems to be a problem with more spots on the charter boats than parking spots in the sportfishing lot that is supposed to be reserved for fishermen. If they are going to cut the 5 hour trip short to wait on late people to park everbody might just as well of parked in the 4 hour max. spaces and saved room for the late comers in the reserved lot. I have never been to any other function that was delayed for so long waiting on late people. As @ airports the tickets said to be there 45 min. early, being we waited untill 1:00 that means people were looking for parking for 1 hour and 45 minutes, I think not? Do the folks that were on time a favor and give them what they paid for.
Fishing and boat crew were OK as soon as we got out of the harbor. |

| Easy to buy the tickets, the boarding process is quick and efficient. the boat crew were friendly and the weather was great. Now if only the fish would have cooperated but overall it was fun and enjoyable. We plan on goin again. |

tangled mess/ "over qualified" captain

| First off , the tangled mess was especially frustrating.To add to that no one knew what do do in the event of a tangled mess besides the deckhand. Second , the capatain of the "Clemente" drove us away from a spot where the the fish could be seen from the deck. Some people were even hooked up as we were pulling away. We then drove to a second spot that was right near the barges parked just south of the San Clemente Pier. That spot was horrible. No bites , nibbles , nothing , by anyone that i could see. We then drove to a third spot that was just as bad as the previously mentioned one. Then , to top off the frustration , the over qualified captain (I'm saying that very saurcasticly) drove us back to the original spot where we then fished for about 15-20 min. or so then called it a day and drove back to port. Idon't recomend the 1/2 dat trip to anyone that likes to fish. And I won't be giving them any more of my business or recomending them to my friends / family. |

| The boat was over packed I think with around 50 fisherman. The fishing was very poor, but this is not due the the crew tring to find the fish they tried very hard to find the fish moving serveral times. The main issue was the fast moving current and people not following there lines. The breakfast Burrito was very good. |
