| I would recommend this trip to anyone who can stand for two hours. We saw whales from the beginning, our luck, and our Captain was very knowledgable and we enjoyed his stories.
I would not recommend this for people who cannot stand for two hours, as there was no seating per se. Otherwise the trip was good and I would go again. |

| Part of the activities for the Dana Point Festival of Whales. Did it for my wife's 60th Birthday celebration. Great fun for everyone involved. Did not hear any comments that were negative. Everyone had a great time. Lots of whale sightings, dolphin encounters and sea lion viewing. |

| My parents were in from Wisconsin visiting us in Carlsbad. My cousin and her husband came down from Huntington Beach. We have 7 and 3 year old daughters. We were looking to do something different so we started looking at tourist type activities. As luck would have it we came across the Whale Festival in Dana Point. The absolute highlight of the day was the Whale watching tour. Incredible crew, great food (and bloody marys!). We could not have had a better time. Seeing the whales was amazing, but the crew definitely made the trip a must do for anyone! Great for families, couples or anyone! |

| The crew members presented a very informative dialogue on whale history. The captain always had a good view of the whales as the boat was always pointed toward whale location. Guests gravitated to side where whales were sighted. It was not always possible for all guests to have a look at the whales. If the boat had been strategically positioned, everyone could have had a better view. |

| The boat I was on did not see any dolphins or whales, only sea lions. However, we received tickets to go again for free. I'm happy that I didn't see anything the first time, because now I get to go again. Even without the animals, the ride was the perfect time and the weather was beautiful. The views of the coast and water were gorgeous. |

| We were very fortunate to see a whale within 15 minutes of departure. Our captian followed him for about 45 minutes, so we all got to see it a dozen times as it surfaced for air.
If we hadn't seen a whale on the trip, I would have been very dissapointed and probably not recomend the trip, although the scenery was beautiful. |

| this was everything the web site promised and more. I especially liked that the boat was not overbooked (in peak season) and therefore not overcrowded. There was plenty of room for my 8 year old daughter to be able to see. Wonderful activity for children, very educational and exciting. |

| We saw a whale the last 10 minutes of our excursion and the staff was nice enough to hang around a little longer and we were late getting back to our dock. I felt like the staff was nice and friendly, but I wished they would've educated us more on the ocean life and whales. My 4-year-old son was more excited about just being on the boat, but after 30 minutes that wore off. I've been on other excursions where they have music in the background adding to the fun and they tell you more about everything you are seeing. |

| I've been on many whale watching trips since I has in junior high and I finally saw one. It didn't come out of the water very much, just breathing. I was able to catch with my digital camera. This definitely made my weekend, being the Festival of Whales and all! |
