it was my understanding that this is the time of whale observing. with modern means of sharing information, i feel the company was pretty sure we wouldn't see any whales, but they were happy to take our money and give us a two hour boat trip. i was most disappointed and would not recommend the boat ride. we saw more sea life activity from the balcony of our hotel than we did from the boat. |

Call it a dolphin-watching cruise; then, people won't feel let down when there are no whales and excited when there are. |

nice boat, comfortable and clean. they guarantee sightings of either whales or dolphins, we found the dolphins first and after that I didn't get a feeling they were looking very hard for whales--they headed back toward our embarkation point and just sort of skimmed along the shore. I've been on other whale watching tours where they moved around to several sites to find whales. |

It's an amazing experience for all family. Only problem is that my kids' grandma got seasick, which made her suffer a while. But we saw lots of whales, even dolphines. Very interesting! |

We didn't see whales on this trip but we saw a pod of dolphins that were very entertaining. I got a lot of good photos. The weather was perfect but DO follow the recommendations to wear several layers of clothing. It was cold enough to need two jackets and a hood but we were in our tee shirts later that day. Also, consider taking Dramamine before you go. The up and down of the boat is just enough to make you a little queasy. |

A nice way to spend a couple hours with friends or family but it should be named "Dolphin Watching Tour." I have taken this trip 3 times in the last couple of years (in March) and have yet to see any whales. Although we have not seen any whales, at least we have seen dolphins every time - it was fun to see them. Can't expect to see whales every time but so far it has been 0 for 3. |

The boat trip was fun for all 8 of us even though the weather was very cold. We only saw a few dolphins but everyone enjoyed the day. Our 5 year old and 10 year old grandchildren enjoyed doing something different and had lots of fun checking out the hot chocolate and chips, We all plan to go again. Thanks for making our trip fun. |

Though it was a rainy day and we didn't see any whales the crew kept us out longer than one hour and gave us vouchers for another cruise. Good times! |

Though the weather was cold and windy, we did see one whale (they don't travel in pods, so it's really amazing that we even saw one, given the size of the ocean!). We also saw several small seals playing together, and 2 big sea lions in the harbor.
There were approximately 40-50 people on the boat, and there was plenty of room. The crew were nice and informative. This is one of those things you should experience once in your life to say you've done it. |
