Even though it was a day of light rain, our trip was fantastic. We had the pleasure of seeing a large pod of dolphins, and two whales that let us watch them for more than 20 minutes. if you go when it is raining, don't forget to bring a poncho, or some kind of raincoat. You will love it!

Thrilled to have seen two groups of whales

We were fortunate to see two groups of Whales, and three different kinds of whales, hundreds of dolphins too. The captain of the boat was stressing about time constraints, but made sure we got to see the last group of whales that we saw. The narrative was very informative as well as the cordiality of the crew with props, etc. teaching us about ocean life.

We were a group of 10 (5 adults with 5 children ages ranging from 4 to 13). Everyone had a wonderful time and was excited to see all the marine life we experienced- sealions, dolphin, and grey whales. We learned about finn whales personally from the captain as he spent about 15 minutes with us talking and sharing his knowledge. Everyone who worked on the boat was very pleasant. And yes the breakfast burritos were awesome being so filling it allowed us to skip lunch.

We had a great time and they tried to find the whales. They even offered a longer trip when they found out where some whales were, but there were people on board that had to be back at 5:00. They gave us all rainchecks to come back for another trip.

Great Show of Dolphins but no Sign of Whales

The boat crew was courteous and we left and arrived back on time. The bathrooms and boat were clean. Our voyage wasn't overcrowded so we had room to move in case our side of the boat was missing the action. The dolphins we saw up close and personal and stayed with them for a substantial amount of time. The only let down: We didn't see whales or any clues they were nearby.

Saw one gray whale at a distance but the best part was when we in the middle of a large pod ( estimated at 500) dolphins. They put on a show! Mamas with their babies jumping and some dancing backwards on their tails. The captain was informative and friendly. Great fun!
