We got to see a couple gray whales, and while we followed them for a while and they seemed to not mind our boat, their track and their wanting to be seen frolicing was short lived when other boats (sail, power and yachts) interrupted by cutting our ship off and getting in front of the whales, so the local snooty boots people kind of ruined it... We got to see the amazing phenomenon of the white-sided dolphins working together with local sea lions (that seemed to come out of NOWHERE!) do the hunting task I've only ever seen on the Discovery Channel - where they circled a school of fish and put them into the ball and swam thru them and had a feeding frenzy, including the dolphins, sea lions, sea gulls and even pelicans. That was amazing to see live... It was a nice day, there was great weather, the guides were great, they were VERY knowledgeable, very nice, very courteous and most importantly, very enthusiastic and helpful. I would come back every weekend if I could! |

In lieu of buying toys for my grandchildren at Christmas, birthdays, etc. I have decided to spend time with them. This was definitely time well spent. Not only did they "ooh" and "aah" at the pod of common dolphins and shreak with excitement when the whales breeched. The boat ride itself was an adventure for them. Thanks for a great day! |

This was a surprise trip for my boyfriend's birthday and we were both pleasantly surprised! Not only did we see hundreds of dolphins but we saw 4 whales! The crew was great in taking us to the perfect spots for dolphin viewing. They were jumping out of the water, some with babies, and playing around the boat and playing with each other. They looked to be having such a wonderful time. It was awsome!! We then ventured out further to search for whales. Our trip was even better than most from what we heard. We saw one of the best 'breaches' of two whales that even the crew said they'd seen. It was absolutely spectacular. We saw others swimming around nearby, partially out of the water at various times, but could see them 'spouting' as well. I highly recommend this trip and I will certainly do it again ! |

The trip was pretty much like I expected it to be. As an avid outdoorsman I know that wild animals don't travel by a set schedule and their actions can be un-predictable.
I am sure many tourists expect to see about 100 whales per trip, all with their flukes about 15 feet out of the water for 10 seconds each so cameras can be focused.
In a perfect world...right.
We saw whales, the crew was pleasant...we had a good time. We got a few good photos....the price was right.
All good stuff.
Thanks |

If you can get passed the pretencious, snobby, plastic locals that live outside of their means, in a dream world - the area is actually really nice. The ship it self was very clean, well maintained, with very well educated staff. I felt safe the entire time, as did my girlfriend. We were just looking for something to do to get away from Disneyland for a day, and this seemed like a good idea. We saw grey whales surface several times, and some dolphins jumping, as well as sea lions (these can be seen at pretty much every rocky point on the west coast, but still interesting). There are food and drinks on the ship, and the one guy who's name I can't remember - he actually stays on deck with you and is full of useful information about the area. I definitely will return and do this again, and highly recommend it for couples or families. |

The coastline was beautiful and it was neat to see Sea Lions. We didn't see whales or dolphins, so I can't recommend it on that account. They did provide a coupon we can use to go again for free. The coupon supposedly never expires. |

After a valiant effort to locate a viewable whale, our captain headed further out to sea to discover a Mega Pod of Dolphins! Hundreds of them! It was amazing and they were all around the boat. Good fun! Great experience! |
