Fantastic family outing!

My family had a fantastic time on your whale watching tour. We especially appreciated how knowledgeable our guide was, we learned so much about the California Grey Whale that we were lucky enough to see. And, it was clear that the guide and the captain had a great deal of respect for this beautiful animal, and the tour was conducted in a way to not disrupt their migration. All around, a wonderful experience!

We went grey whale watching last weekend and had a great time. Bought our tickets online with no problem, collected them and got going without a hitch. Whilst it was the most successful whale watching experience in terms of numbers of whales, we did see 2 but then found a large pod of Dolphins who playfully swam beside the boat. The narrator/compare was super knowledgeable and I actually thought it was Jack Black's voice. All in all a very good afternoon spent in the sun, on a comfortable boat with knowledgeable and friendly people.

Even though we did not see any whales, they gave us vouchers for another trip. They were very knowledgeable about the whales and dolphins. I will go again and recommend them to anyone.

It was a great experience. The captain really wanted us to see something cool and didn't mind being a little late back to the dock so we could see the second largest whale.

A glorious day, did not matter that we saw whales. A nice surprise that we were given a rain check because no whales were spotted. Just the boat ride, view of the coast, the fresh air, and hints of Catalina made it all worth while.

It was a very nice day off of Dana Point and the captain was very informative knowing that 2 whales were spotted heading our way. He made sure we were able to see them. The dolphins, 2 unfortunately, swam under the boat each time I tried to snap a shot of them. All in all a great day! Highly recommend going out of Dana Point.

Did not spot any whales but totally enjoyed boat trip out in the big blue. Boat/yacht was beautiful, clean with excellent menu selection in the galley. So relaxing and enjoyable. Saw plenty of dolphins which was spectacular. Totally appreciate voucher to experience again. Intuition says we will catch that grey whale next time

Captain and crew on Dana Pride were great.

For my wifes birthday, I surprised her (and my 6 year old son) with a trip to Dana Point to go whale watching and spend the weekend relaxing. Our whale whale watching trip began at 10am and lasted 2 hours. I tried reserving another more expensive whale watching service from the same harbor, but they were fully booked for the first departure. I lucked out finding Dana Warf, instead. The other service (which uses a smaller catamaran) left an hour earlier that morning, which would have been tougher to get to on a weekday with traffic, and the catamaran bobed around in the water more than the Dana Pride. In addition, it was our boat and crew on Dana Pride that spotted the whale that we followed for a good 30 minutes. The captains from the different services talk to eachother on the radio when whale watching, so if one finds a whale, they alert the others to the location. From that aspect, its great so you will see a whale with either of the companies (if there's one out there to be seen and found that day). The captain and crew explained the behavior of the whale and then we let it go on its merry way and we began to follow a group of dolphins and a sea lion. It was a great experience for the whole family. This boat was also nice, since they have a gally to get hot food and drinks on a cold morning.
