Hello Everyone,
Thanks so much for a wonderful afternoon. I took my whole family whale watching and everyone had a blast. Although there were no whales we found the crew both friendly and knowledgeable. There was enough sea-life to make it memorable and a couple hours at sea was great. I have and will recommend this to anyone.
We had such a great time we will probably be back in March for another chance to hopefully see whales.
Thanks again! |

We went on a beautiful clear January 19th morning (the 10 a.m. trip). Friends had told us there haven't been many whale sightings in the last few years off the Dana Point coast. . However we decided to go anyway. For seven landlocked Utah people, it was just nice to get out on the ocean. We first saw a large group of dolphins. We followed the dolphins for 15-20 minutes (or they followed us) then the captain said we were going to look for whales. We saw no whales, but did see sea lions, pelicans, and other birds. The view of the coast was great all during the trip. It was chilly with the wind blowing, and a coat was an absolute necessity. I would have liked a little more talking by the captain (or crew--whoever was doing narration). They didn't say much--would have been nice to have them tell some stories, or identify land marks, or something--they spoke about twice in the 1.75 hours we were on the water. Food was advertised, but we didn't purchase any. Maybe they should rename it the 'Dolphin watching experience'. It was an ok trip--3 stars out of 5. I would do it once, but probably not again. |

We all had a great time and found the guides very educated regarding the dolphins and sea lions we saw. We did not see a whale which was disappointing. Maybe the activity should be called "Ocean adventure" instead of a Whale Watch because there is no guarantee a whale will be seen, yet that's what you're selling. |

We got on the boat with great expection thinking we will sure watch the whates. However, there weren't any whales. I feel like I broke promise to my children! And the crew member didn't even mention that they were sorry. |

I’ve been whale watching before – sometimes with sightings while other times without - none of those excursions can compare to what my boy and I experienced this past Sunday afternoon. While we didn’t see any whales, we did found a pod of dolphins! While it is difficult to tell just how many were in the pod, it seemed as if there were one THOUSAND or more! In fact, we were surrounded, on all sides, by dolphins leaping out of the water, racing the boat, and just having a good ‘ole time as dolphins are want to do. This experience was one of the incredible I’ve ever had and, without question, something that I will remember for many, many years. |

I thought initially we would never see whales. Just usually my luck, but with the crew knowing where to go I had the fantastic experience of seeing a calf and mother with yet another whale on the return portion of the trip. A highly recommended experience. What a value! I will return. |

Well, that day's cruise didn't give us what we were expected: seeing any dolphins or whales. We did have a great time, after a whole week's hard work. Perhaps some kind of tracking, or surveilance from certain source, would be able to provide some kind of guidance. We enjoyed the cruise anyway. Keep up the good work! |

My husband and I have always wanted to go whale watching. I purchased tickets online through Zerve which was a piece of cake and off we went! The day was beautiful and the crew was friendly and informative. Although we didn't see any whales (which we knew could be a possibility) we still got to relax in the ocean breeze and just get away for a while. We enjoyed a morning bloody mary (which was the best we'd ever had before) ....who knew it would be on a boat in Dana Point. Anyways, we lucked out because my husband and I got to see a pod of about 1,000 dolphins that day, right there in the middle of the ocean. They were all sizes, large and small, jumping around the boat and playing in the waves. We had never seen anything like it, not even on TV! That definitely made it a memorable trip......oh, and spending time with my husband too:) We will do it again soon for sure!!!!!
Sincerely,
Amy |

The crew was great, as was the boat... but the whales... they didn't feel like cooperating... We only saw a few dolphins. That part was very cool, but we see dolphins from the shore allot so it was not that exciting. I guess the day we choose was just unlucky for us. Will definitely go back and try again... |
