What an awesome trip!

I would highly recommend booking this trip if you're interesting in seeing whales and dolphins really up-close within a couple of miles off our coast. We were very lucky to see some gray whales on their migration south to Mexico. We followed one for about 30 to 40 minutes, keeping a respectful distance, watching as she spouted. We saw several tail flips and she even breached four or five times and splashed back down. The whole deck erupted in applause! Don't forget your camera and binoculars! The captain and crew were very informative and shared lots of information on these magnificent animals. He was also communicating with other boats to find out where the best viewing areas were. As the trip was drawing to a close, the captain spotted a pod of dolphins cruising and soaring out of the water. There were hundreds! He cruised right into the middle of the pod, explaining that they knew exactly where we were and that they were not in any danger. You could almost reach out and touch them as they jumped and played just out of reach. We were on the catamaran which was very roomy with plenty of space on deck for everyone. Also, I must say the boat was spotless. There is lots of seating both on the front and rear deck and if you get a little chilly, the snack bar are is fully enclosed with clear plastic all around for a full view. As this was out first trip, we took many pictures and brought home lots of memories. We'll definitely be back! Thanks to the front office, captain and crew for a fantastic day!

Saw one gray whale at a distance but the best part was when we in the middle of a large pod ( estimated at 500) dolphins. They put on a show! Mamas with their babies jumping and some dancing backwards on their tails. The captain was informative and friendly. Great fun!

It was a perfectly beautiful sunny January day! We made new friends, enjoyed the crew, and enjoyed watching a gray whale! It was our daughter's first experience out on a boat. It was the perfect way to introduce her, and dismiss any fears she had. Thank you!

The captain and crew are filled with interesting knowledge of all forms of ocean life and the current status of our ecosystem. If you can't find the whales, you will see playful dolphins, seals and pelicans. Clean and not expensive. 2 hours for a wonderful trip is worth every penny. Plus you can get 1/2 price ticket if you don't see the whales. Go!

The boat was a little late leaving the dock but the delay was worth it. It was a beautiful day and the captain was very knowledgeable about whales and we saw two gray whales and many dolphins. I would recommend this trip to any one looking for an exciting day in southern California.

Great adventure... better than the amusement parks. Kids, adults all loved it.. food, drink and real wild life in the pacific coast's version of the Serengeti.. Worth every penny!! The Captain was filled with information, knew the spots to find the wild life, the boat had great viewing even with lots of folks on board... They proved our best tourist attraction is the wild blue at the edge of our coast not inland!!!! Dolphin's were as curious as us!! Whales! Grey whale stories! Had a beer and a sandwich while experiencing the great outdoors come to life in front of our eyes. Their boat was large enough to feel very safe yet small enough to feel we were on a special tour. Dana Harbor is awesome too.. good food, bars, and a little cool shopping and even a museum...

Appreciated the consideration given the whale so it wouldn't be hemmed in. Captain's narration was educational and informative.

We were able to see a gray whale for an extended period of time as he traveled south. Then we were able to experience a large pod of dolphins swimming close to the boat . It was such a special experience.

My family and I had a great time. The staff was helpful and the boat was nice. The Captan was very knowledgable and told us about whaling\fishing history and stories of the past during the trip. We saw a mega pod of dolphins (like 300+ dolphins), a whale, and some sea lions. Highly recommended.
