Although we only saw one whale, it was a great trip - sunny, clear, calm. I would go again just to get 2 hours out on the ocean.

Worth the money...

We saw 2 fin whales and many many dolphins. We didn't get too close to the whales for fear of frightening them, and we only saw their dorsal fins. The pool of 66 dolphins is what made this trip worth the money. Should be called dolphin watching not whale watching.

Doesn't get any better than that

The whale watching was more that we hoped for! It was a beautiful calm day and we saw hundreds of Dolphins and six whales. We were able to watch both for 45 min. plus. The captain seemed very knowledgeable and overall it was a great experience. My only complaint is the boat was pretty crowded and my small children had difficulty seeing the whales because of needing to be lifted up above the many people. So get in line early and head for the bow of the boat!

Went out on the water and not 15 minutes later were already on the tail of two California Gray Whales. The captain and the man on deck giving information were extremely helpful. We wee always on top of the whales. We managed to find seals and dolphins along the way as well. Drinks were reasonably priced too. All in all, a great experience. Well worth the time and money.

I booked an 11 am trip on March 5 during the Whale Watching Festival for my husband, myself and our 24 year old son. The weather was great, cool but sunny. The number of people on the trip seemed just right. The captain found a school of dolphins that played with the boat, great for photos. He did find a whale about an hour plus into the trip. That was terrific and again a great photo-op. The captain seemed to have a good knowledge of the marine life in the area and shared that with the guests. We all enjoyed the trip.

Great company! Clean boat, great crew, free four hour parking, and we got lucky and saw 2 CA grey whales together. Lots of dolphins too ! It was relaxing and the crew was GREAT from check in to docking after the cruise. 04/02/2010. Will do this again next trip to CA. Great for kids, our 6 year old daughter can't wait to go back. The access from the freeway to the dock is easy too.

Wednesday, March 25th, 4pm cruise Didn't look good when we left port last Wednesday...but we ran into a HUGE pod of common dolphins. There were several hundred of them. On our way back to port we saw six grey whales and the ship captain let us stay out later than our designated time so that everyone would have a good chance of getting a picture. THANKS Dana wharf whale watching crew!!
