Early morning adventure at sea was refreshing and fun. Clean air, great coastal views on a wonderful boat ride. Captain and coriders were friendly and as unbeatable as the $8.00 ticket price. Missed the whales and were given free return trip tickets to go again, outstanding outing!!!

Dana Wharf Whale Watching was the best deal. They were very knowledgeable and professional with the way they handled, presented and explained about the whales/ ocean life. They give you a free trip/ and or a discount if they do not locate any whales or dolphins for you to see. For the price....."the best deal"!

Whale Watching is a great activity to do!

This is our family's first time to do this activity. We saw this in the OC Family ad and thought it would be a good idea. And yes, it was great! We had a great experience! Just being out to the sea at 9am, the breeze of fresh air was really refreshing, the water was calm. (We recommend you bring a heavy sweater for it was really cold.) Although our boat captain (boat named CLEMENTE) tried so hard for our group to spend more time chasing the whales to get a good glimpse, we are unlucky that we did not see them (mom and a calf) close-up. We only saw from afar their arched back. However, the boat captain brought us to the dolphins pod. We enjoyed the scene. Gosh... There were groups of dolphins (maybe a about 100 or even more) that we were in awe. They were everywhere playing, jumping up and down, swimming close to our boat that we don't know where to look. Due to time constraint, the boat just went around them and we hurriedly return back to the dock. We really hoped that we stayed a few more minutes so we can take great pictures and really see & enjoy the dolphins. Yes, we do recommend for others to do this activity especially if you have small children. You will love it!

This short (2 hour) boat trip was a great time. We saw a huge school (pod?) of dolphins - around 1000! We also saw whales although they were being reclusive and not showing much of themselves out of the water. The birdlife was very extensive - hundreds of cormorants, pelicans, etc. We also passed by a buoy to see a group of sea lions. The captain was knowledgeable about sealife and gave a good amount of information about it. I would highly recommend this trip.

Loved the experience. We took our 10 year old and he was very excited. We saw a few dolphins and about 6 whales. You mostly get to see their backs arch over the water as they dive. If your lucky you saw a tail. Still very cool to be that close to these massive creatures. The crew was very friendly and the boat was clean and beautiful. People started lining up to board 30-45 min before, so if you care about picking your spot, be early. No need to bring binoculars (in my opinion), you're close enough without them, and even looking through the camera zoom lens made it harder to pick them up. Well worth it!

Fun day at sea even without whales

We had a beautiful warm and sunny day to sail. Even though we did not see any whales we did see dolphins and sea lions. Staff was pleasant & knowledgable. Comfortable boat. One woman had a 3 year old and I wouldn't recommend for that young age group - she spent the time running around the boat after him! He didn't have the patience to keep looking out for the whales!

What a great time we had. I have not seen my fiance so happy in quite a while. It was better than I expected and so informative too. The dolphins were wonderful enough and the grey whale was the icing on the cake. We also saw sea lions. We ate first at historic "Turks" which is right there. No sea sickness just pure joy. Thank you!!!!!!!
