We took the 10:00 am group on 3/23, it was a sunny day but no whales were spotted.
I read the review and heard that the crew was funny.
I personally didn’t think they were that fun. They didn’t give us much of a briefing as to what we would see for the trip.
The boat and ppl on it were quiet for the first hour, and the captain kept searching for the whales.
I hoped that he could give us some introduction in the beginning.
After around an hour and a half later, we saw a lot of common dolphins. Hundreds of them were swimming next to the boat.
The captain did a good job of explaining the dolphins, and overall it was a pleasant experience.
I will consider coming back in October, and hopefully I won’t be disappointed again.
I will be looking forward to the Blue Whale then |

We saw one Gray Whale with her calf and followed them for about 20 minutes. We really had to strain to get a good look (there are laws that keep the boats from getting too close?). Very educational but not too much blah-blah. The ride was great...spectacular views and relaxing! Take dramamine 1 hour before to ensure enjoyment. Awesome staff and reasonably priced yummy snacks. |

Obviously finding marine mammals in something the size of the ocean is a hit or miss proposition but our boat captain's experience brought us straight out to an enormous pod of dolphins, numbering at least several hundred in size. He then quickly located two California Grey whales and made sure to pass by a buoy on the way in where he knew sea lions regularly sunbathe. Couldn't have asked for a more fulfilling voyage. It would seem Mid-March is an excellent time to go whale watching as they migrate back up North and the weather and sea conditions were very favorable too. The Dana Pride is a nice size boat ... we didn't feel at all cramped even on a noon voyage on a Saturday. Highly recommend this adventure. |

That was more than we expected. We saw hundreds of Dophins and two grey Whales. |

My husband and I had a fun time on our cruise. the captain took us and the rest of the crew out to where dolphins were feeding, there were alot of dolphins. It was alot of fun watching them swim and jump and cross paths with each other. It made for a very satisfied time. Great job!!!! Thank you so much. We intend to bring our granddaughters out on a whale watching cruise this summer. Hopefully we will see dolphins again in those numbers. (We did see whales too!! Very close up). |

I've lived in So Cal all my life and have never gone on a Whale Watching cruise before. My boyfriend's parents were visiting from Indiana and have always wanted to go.
What a great and fun experience. It was the perfect length of time (2 hours) and a great bargin to boot.
My favorite part was encountering a school of dophins that swam right up to the boat.
I highly recommend this trip to locals and visitors alike. |

Although we have lived here 10+ years, we have never gone whale watching before. The staff was friendly and we had a great time. We plan on going again. |

This is a double review. My entire family enjoyed a whale watching trip on March 21, 2007 and my son and I enjoyed a five-hour deep-sea fishing trip on March 22. Both were excellent in service, ease of use (fishing trip), knowledge of local marine life (whale watching), and overall quality of the experience. Your crew was friendly, safety-conscious and courteous. Well done. We'll see you again.
