| I have a great time every time I take the half day trip. Next time I am thinking about springing for the 3/4 day jaunt. The captain found the fish, I caught them, and the crew cleaned them. What more could you ask for from a fishing trip? | ||||||

| The catamaran was clean, spacious, new and fast. The crew were warm and welcoming as well as knowledgeable about the whales, dolphins, birds and other wildlife. As we were heading back to port somewhat disappointed that we hadn't seen anything, the captain suddenly noticed two blue whales and we turned back around to follow them. The crew went out of their way to make sure we saw as much as possible, even though we were slightly over our time on the trip. No one cared. We were just thrilled to have seen the whales! Thoroughly recommended and I would take this trip again. | ||||||

| I would highly recommend Catamaran Adventure Cruises. My boyfriend and I went on the 1pm whale watching tour out of Dana Point on Sunday 11/8. The reason I gave this a five star rating despite not encountering any whales or dolphins was the fact it was a gorgeous day on the water. The crew was friendly, engaging, and extremely knowledgeable. They gave us all vouchers for 50% off of our next trip because we didn't have any whale or dolphin encounters. | ||||||

| I recently took a 1/2 day fishing trip which was advertised for 5 hours. The boat left the dock around 12:45 PM and approximately 30 minutes later we made our first stop and began fishing. After several stops and a slow day fishing, the captain announced at around 4:35, that we would call it a day and started heading in. We arrived back at the dock before 5:00PM. Since there was still plenty of daylight left when we began to head home, and it was still light when we arrived, I wish we could have fished a bit more and kept closer to the 5 hour schedule that was advertised. On separate note, the crew was great and very helpful. A fishing clinic for the kids before we headed out was a nice bonus. | ||||||

| I fish down at Dana Point jetty all the time and catch a lot more. I only caught one fish the whole time, as did my friends. For the money, it wasn't worth it. | ||||||

| The boat captain was professional, courteous, knowledgable, and dedicated. We did find a whale to look at and that was exciting for someone who has never seen one before. The boat ride alone was a great way to pass the time. So even if we hadn't found a whale, the ride was nice. The price was not out of line. My wife and my son had a good time too. My wife did have one complaint. According to the trip description, brownies were supposed to have been handed out but we didn't get any. | ||||||

| We were 12 guys that booked the twilight fishing trip on October 24, 2009. The fish did not bite the way we wanted to, but the season was almost over. Some guys did catch quite a few. The jackpot went to the guy who caught a 2.5 pounder. The evening was really great. Great friends. Great weather. Great crew on Reel Fun. Brian did a fantastic job to untangle al the bird nests. Dan cooked great burgers and kept the beers cold. The captain stopped at three different places where he could see fish on the fish finder. Before we knew it, the 4 hours were over and we were back at the harbor. We would probably do a longer trip next time. But then again, it is always good to stop eating when you still want a little bit more. The 1/2 day is good for people that do not do too good on the ocean. We loved it. Will definately do it again. Will be great for older kids too - maybe when they are about 10. | ||||||

| All three of us in my group had never been in a boat on the ocean before so we were concerned with getting motion sickness. I'm afraid of deep water and things popping up in the water. I'll tell you, we didn't even think about those things. The crew on the ship was pleasant and friendly, the trip itself was one of the most exciting things we'ver ever done as a family. We've talked about doing this for years, and years. It was absolutely wonderful!!! My 12 year old granddaughter was thrilled as was my son and I. We made some wonderful memories on this cruise. We saw several whales (2 different kinds) which was rare the Marine Biologist said. We were hoping to see dolphins but we were happy seeing so many whales. We'll be back on this ship in the future. I would highly recommend this organization and it's services. | ||||||

| This is one of the worst experiences that I had. The customer service received at this place was by far one of the most horrid situations. I got passed from person to person and each time had to retell a story and then got accused and blamed myself for a mistake on their end that they refused to acknowledge. The sad part is that I had proof in my hands, had an extensive call record with details, but there was still a lack of wanting to even look at this. Bringing a group of eager students from a university, this was an exciting trip and we had to buy tickets ahead of time. Because of mistakes on the company's end, we are now out several hundred dollars and they still refuse to acknowledge their mistake and work with us. Now I'm in the process of trying to work through legal means to get our money back and try to move on from one of the worst situations of customer service and organization that I have ever seen!!! | ||||||

| Loved this trip, even though it was only 2 hours. Saw blue whales, fin whales, dolphins, and some sea lions. Was a lot of fun, had beautiful views of the Pacific, was exciting to try to spot animals and then race the boat over to where they were, etc. We really enjoyed this trip, although one of us did get seasick so if you have someone with a sensistive stomach this might not be the best trip for them as the ship & speeds make for a choppy, rocking ride sometimes! Otherwise, good price, a lot of fun, and a unique experience! | ||||||

| We saw one blue whale...way, way in the distance, and the crew tried really hard to "catch it" before it made a dive, but didn't succeed. We had a wonderful run with a huge pod of dolphins though...a great experience. The crew was very jovial and accommodating. I would recommend, even if you don't see a whale!! | ||||||
