What a perfect day for whale watching! The captain was amazing! He educated everyone about the whales and dolphins! We saw 3 whales and sooooo many dolphins! It was a great day! Would totally recommend!

My girlfriend and I decided to go whale watching for her birthday. She loves whales, dolphins, and ocean life in general and so it seemed like a great idea, and it was. Having never been on a whale watching trip, we didn't know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. Not only did we get to see countless dolphins, a fin whale, and a grey whale cow and calf, but we also got a great education.

Great time and did not see much for over one hour, then captain announced he spotted two humpback whales and we sped to the area, Oblerves two humpbacks traveling together.. Later observed minke whale and some sea lions, Also captain oblerved grey whale, but it was near the end of our time and had to return. Great time, and would redcommend to anyone, If you do not see something, you can return for free!!

Our cruise was a bit rocking due to the wind, but it was so fun and our captain was very knowledgable and clearly enjoys what he does!! We were out for 90 min, saw soo many dolphins, but could not get out pass the point due to the choppy seas. But we got "whale checks" and are going again this weekend. Plus 50% off our next cruise!! You just can't beat that !

The weather was cold and foggy but the trip was so much fun! We saw two gray whales. We watched the whales for about an hour. There was great narration and the facts were so fun to hear. We saw some "local" dolphins and some seals. It was a very great experience and we plan to do it again very soon.

Captain sounded doubtful at first that we would have any whale sightings. We saw some dolphins but the boat was going too slow to really watch them bow ride. We finally saw some whales breaching, which was fantastic. I just wish the captain didn't keep turning the boat to get the whales only on the right side, when we spotted them on the left side of the boat and that's where we were sitting to get pictures. Good trip overall though.

My 15 year old daughter and I went out on the Dana Pride last Friday. Weather over cast and light rain but if you prepare for weather, it's no big deal. We had a great time. It was a first for both of us. Got to see a slew of dolphins but the whales alluded us right until the end. We were about to head back to port when the Captain got a call from another ship that they had spotted a gray. So rather than return on time and miss the whale, the Captain choose to speed the boat over to the sighting and we got to see a lone whale heading south. Tells me a lot about Captain's dedication to the customers on board, for although the dolphins are are beautiful creatures, especially up close, , we came to see a whale! ...Great informative narrative by the Captain throughout the day.. Would absolutely do it again. Hint...had we not been on the last trip of the day...2 pm...we may not have had the option to stay the extra 45 or so minutes it took to see the whale, so that is the trip I would book in the future.

The tour did took us in open sea's where whales were, but the whales were not co-operating and just saw tail 2-3 times. Saw Dolphins and sea lions very closely, but would have loved to see the whales in 40-50 yard distance. The tour manager tried to get us close but we were always 200-300 yards away.. so what we saw was a little part of the whales. He could have tried to take us little far from the harbor where we may have found some whales interested in playing and showing. It is a good season for whales and their are a lot in that area. Would have certainly liked going farther to see the whales. He could have taken us farther in with larger concentration of whales, rather than chasing a whale and a baby whale close to harbor.

I would like to suggest if you can improve your inside setting bench bit lower will be more safe for elder people. My parent and other couple fall down from bench when they get up from the seat. Also the cushion is slippery not steady. Rest of activity is very good. C Lynn

We were delighted to be able to sit at tables on the upper deck with our large group of 9 adults and 1 infant. One of the adults was elderly (83 and walking with a cain), and the other is disabled (needs a brace on her leg), so the tables were perfect. The only problem was that when we spotted a whale, the captain kept the boat angled straight towards the whale the entire time. Because of this, those of us on top (especially those who were unable to stand up and move around as quickly as other eager whale watchers) were unable to see the whale because of the cabin. In fact, it was very difficult to see the whale at all because of the cabin. My only suggestion would be that the captain remember to turn the boat sideways so that everyone can see the sea creatures. Otherwise, don't expect to see much of anything from up top. Overall it was a fun trip. I would recommend going, but probably not with anyone who can't walk around quickly on their own.

Picked an awesome day, weather was amazing, saw 3 whales (although lots of people were out in boats due to the awesome weather, so the whales were not so social, and we also ran into a huge (1,200) pack of dolphins that were very social, playing in the boat's wake made for great photos! would definitely do it again

We didn't see any whales for almost 1.5 hours. At that point we saw many, and so they actually extended the tour so we could view them longer. That was unexpected and appreciated. The lower area of the boat where the snack bar is could be upgraded a little. It's not a very nice area. I'm sure most people stand outside, but if you want a place to sit for a while it should be a little nicer.

Had a wonderful father & son day with my son whale watching and we did get to see whales. It was nice to take the time from working and just do something out of the ordinary. My son enjoyed it that I may consider doing it again in March where we will see tons of whales.
